A narcissist is known to be a person who has an excessive interest in or admiration of themselves. A prime example of a narcissistic person is the character in Greek mythology whose name is Narcissus — known for falling in love with his own reflection, thus his name. Traits to look out for in a narcissist are: arrogance, self-centeredness, and lack of empathy. Other diagnosed NDP (Narcissistic Personality Disorder) traits include their need for admiration, are selfish, and are known to be manipulative. There are many kinds of narcissism, but the most common kind is the overt narcissist who comes across as outgoing and arrogant. There is a little bit of narcissism in all of us which is present in different amounts, but it is important to note that it can also be a serious personality disorder, therefore it is important that one should be aware of the different FAQs about narcissists.
