Trying to figure out how many Cerberus mugs Jack has anyway. Seven maybe? One for everyday of the week? Or does he hold to never washing the cup ever (he drinks it black because of course he does)?

If you absolutely must know my wildest idea that I have yet to implement in a single story but--oh, oh! I can now! I just realized I can do it in Amelia's newest adventure!
*ahem*
Anyways. My absolute wildest notion is that Helena Blake is Jack Harper's aunt. I have yet to have any sort of idea of what to do with that, but an Amelia who's in a relationship with Jack when she meets Blake in ME1 and casually is like, "Oh yeah, I met..." And Jack is just like, "Hrk. o_O"
Yet another story plot I will hold loosely--just in case. But oh man. I finally have a spot for it. 🤣
(Oh, you want to know why I chose aunt? For fun. I could've made her his sister. But aunt has more chaos energy. Like, they grew up together and she held it over his head that she's his aunt.)
Oh, go me. I not only am prone to forgetting that Jack smokes, I also mixed up his hair color and eye color. 👍 I mean--that's just an edit because it's only, like, two lines. But. It's the principle of the thing. 😂
Blanked on the word "decanter" then realized I wasn't sure if that was *actually* the right word and then I ended up googling it and discovered that they had gradually fallen out of favor over the second half of the 20th century, which is why you really don't see them anymore. A combination in a change of furniture styles and the rise of marketing.
All of which led me to wonder about the likelihood of Jack being the sort of keep a decanter on hand or not.
(No conclusions have been reached)
At this point I think the reason I “torture” Jack by annoying him is because nothing I could ever do would be worse than canon

(But also it’s more entertaining this way and he gets character development out of it, so it’s good for him)
Taking apart my keyboard has me realizing that Jack totally has a mechanical keyboard somewhere along with very strong opinions on which switches are best.

I’ve been looking for ages for something along these lines. I tend to use cigarettes as a proxy for Jack’s stress levels (and there’s an inverse relationship between number of cigarettes and the amount of Shepard in his life, but when things go awry, Amelia’s Jack still smokes from time to time. Unlike Inara’s who basically doesn’t once the war is over. This is not at all related to me simply forgetting that he smokes when I wrote the first version of Inara’s story.)
"You've seen the vision from the beacons, Shepard. You, of all people, should understand what the Reapers are capable of. They cannot be stopped... Is submission not preferable to extinction?"
Jack saw a vision of the Reapers and said that the answer to that question was a resounding, "No."
(As he should have.)
