just finished the fic that’s supposed to be the continuation of the Tenna x insecure!reader one, and it got so fucking long......

and i HATE posting long fics cuz i always feel like i stuffed them with useless details that make everything boring, but at the same time i spent FOREVER on it and i actually love how sweet and caring Tenna turned out here... but can’t bring myself to post it....surprise, it’s because i’m insecure as hell!! plus i’m pretty sure there are a ton of spelling mistakes and terrible grammar, and i just don’t have the time or energy to beta read it right now. so i’m going fucking insane

When writing for Captain Briggs and First Lieutenant Morgan in Repentance I vaugely based them off of these guys. Michael Madsen isn't a perfect replica of FL Morgan in my head but the hat and like, southern-ish charm of his character in Kill Bill Vol 2 really influenced and built a base for him.

Andre Braugher was such a phenomenal actor too, I only ever saw him in Brooklyn Nine-Nine but he was one of my favorite characters. Stern and just automatically commanding authority- it was exactly the kind of vibe I needed for my Captain character. Though I (purposely) never wrote him to be as lovable as Captain Holt was.

Random talk on Batman Beyond but god can we talk about how good of a show that is? Like how good is it that they took the show concept of "future batman" which could be SO bland and formulaic but instead theyre like "This is a new batman with new villains in a future gotham" and that was SO peak. We only needed to see a few old villains anyways

there’s this really odd feeling about having left fandom for a while to work on myself and then coming back fresh and new. like I want to feel like I just slot right back in but my brain is sooooo out of it. especially with shifting fandoms and wanting to create again. urghhhhhh ramble below

like I’m writing again (and really enjoying it) but I have this annoying little voice in the back of my mind punishing me for abandoning my bg3 fics, telling me that I can’t just start writing and posting something new while leaving them sat collecting dust.

which is like, obviously incorrect but I just can’t shake it.

and it’s telling me if I want to get around to posting new I need to suck it up and finish those first. I have half a mind to delete the damn things and pretend they just don’t exist, and stop myself from starting a new long fic ever again so that I can’t “abandon” it midway through

catch me churning out 15k word one shots because if I do multiple chapters I’ll lose steam

idk it is so nonsensical but. I’m sure like one person on this godforsaken webbed site gets me. idk.
