“Where’s your sense of adventure?” A smirked.
“WHERE’S YOUR SELF-PRESERVATION?!?!?!” B screamed in fear.

Ambivalence across the boundaries | LIV
From where I come from, majority of the people there believe in one supreme God presented in three images. They revered those images through different practices and prayers but one of it has been regarded as the face of the Church and their religion. It is Jesus Christ, the very physical embodiment of God. His arrival was foreseen by a variety of prophets, describing him as the "Messiah", the one who will save them all and will usher an era of peace to all mankind.
His life was mostly recorded and practiced by most of the believers of Christianity whereas Lent, reflects and replicate the sacrifice of Christ for 40 days in the desert and ultimately unto His death, on Easter. However, one must need to be reminded of their self and their sins. That is why Ash Wednesday precedes Lent, making sure that everyone is prepared for a month long of sacrifice, fasting and penitence.
The sign of the cross being marked onto the lay's forehead represents humanity's penitence and mortality. It served as a remembrance of how we are nothing but dust and ashes without God who breathe life to us. Moreover, to show that we are willing to change ourselves for the better, to be purified and cleanse from our wrongdoings.
Yet. With or without religion, we are cognizant of the fact that we are mortal beings with finite lives. Regardless of the belief on the afterlife, eternal life up above or reincarnation, the life that we have here wouldn't be the same as oppose to the life we may have on living for the second time. You can't experience the exact same thing as you did compared to being the same consciousness on a different body, animal or just plainly living up above or down the abyss. Cherish the world you are in right now, for it is important and unique on its own.
It is for that very reason why I continue to live as if it is my last day. To grab opportunities as much as I can and to never regret it.
More importantly, to just enjoy living; to feel pain and love, to feel rejection and success and to feel unworthy and important.
Life is not a wish-granting factory. And I realize that throughout the years and it has been more emphasized on due to Ash Wednesday. If we are to let ourselves be marked by the ashes, then we might as well change ourselves for the better too. To be accepting of things we cannot control and to recognize for who and what they are.
Experience, valued in order to understand those I do not believe.

"Ash Wednesday" ⛪
According to Genesis 3:19, we must all remember that we all came from dust and through dust we shall return. The verse states that God made human through dust and will return as a dust by the time they encounter death. That's way every Lenten season, the catholic church do ash Wednesday where in ashes are put in the forehead. This kind of act symbolizes a despise of an individual and repent in dust and ashes.
The word "HUMUS" or rather Humility means "soil". Humility is an act where in we live and cherish our God given life to the foolest. The ashes being imposed or put in the forehead came from the burnt palms previously used during palm sunday. It is blessed by the priests and is recognized as a "sacramental" for it is used to remit venial sins. Ash wednesday is done not just because of traditional compliance but to have a sincere contrition for our sins and to have the desire to humbly submit to God.
Ash Wednesday
Humus means soil ashes imposed to the forehead means sincere contrition for our sins and desire to humbly submit to god. Humility signifies lowliness or submissiveness to god. Ashes that were used during ash wednesday came from burned palms blessed by priest which are sacramental. It is used to remit our venial sins. Ash wednesday reminds us that we came from dust just like adam and eve god made us from dust with his image and likeness and we will also die and return to dust.
During the imposition the priest can choose from 2 verses in the bible which are “turn away from sin and be faithful to the gospel” and “remember that thou art dust and to dust thou shalt return”. This call us ti repentance and also we are being reminded of our humble beginning which is dust.
Every Ash Wednesday, people gather from church to put ashes in their forehead. The ashes signify our inner fragility and poverty, and the cross our salvation in the mercy of God.
Have you ever noticed how once a year, usually in February or March, there are a lot of people walking around with an ash cross on their foreheads? You probably knew it had something to do with Lent, but you weren’t sure why the ash cross was significant.
By these ashes, it helps a lot of us to stay connected with God and removing our pain, doubts, and sins in our hearts that will allow us to bring back our faith.
The ashes of this holiday symbolize two main things: death and repentance. “Ashes are equivalent to dust, and human flesh is composed of dust or clay (Genesis 2:7), and when a human corpse decomposes, it returns to dust or ash.
A BIT OF HUMILITY GOES ALONG WAY💕
We need to be humble all the time we need to consider to ourselves that we are in no competition with others, it takes appreciation and humility to know that there are other people who is bigger and better than us. Being contented and happy for other people's opportunities will simply shows that humility is what we all need, because I believe humility is just like a soil who makes a plant/flower grow which shows that people is just like the plant who is growing small and getting bigger and better because of the soil. Started from the bottom and now we're better than ever because of accepting our weaknesses and starting to care for others.
There's one thing that I'll cherish forever and that thing is turning away from sin and be faithful to our God. By these ashes, it helps a lot of us to stay connected with God and removing our pain, doubts, and sins in our hearts that will allow us to bring back our faith and love for the one and only God who saved us from sins and make us a better person.
