“my dearest darling, i pray you always remember that it’s easier to feel hollow rather than hopeful. remember the sun will still rise again in the morning. rather you meet it than grieve it.”

i’m nothing but a page in everyone’s book
i’m the chance that he shouldn’t have got, but took
and so here i am
trying to transfer my feelings to pen
i write about us as if our love story is my dissertation
as if it deserves to be read
but loving him was me making me bed
and this heartbreak is me refusing to lay in it

Some days I love this challenge, I'm meeting new people and connecting with a diverse audience of both readers and writers, and other days I groan when I read the days suggestion. This is one of those days, I'm not one for traditional poetry. Maybe this is because I don't have the patience for anything but free verse? I'm not a fan of rhyme or reason. No rules, that's the kind of person I am! I look forward to seeing what the rest of my #writingcommunity come up with though #posttwentyone #haikupoem #writingprose #authorschallenge2019 #writingprompts https://www.instagram.com/p/BxswVkthuIh/?igshid=2o3pxbjpme8t
