Do you love to write, or perhaps to blog?
If you have studied journalism or any field related to writing, you have likely heard the same advice repeated over and over again: be clear, be concise, be truthful. The theme must be focused. The message must be delivered well. The words must serve a purpose.
We live in a time where misinformation spreads faster than truth. Fake news is everywhere. Opinions are posted without verification. Words are typed in haste, often without responsibility. Almost everything we write has become digital. And while this has undeniable benefits when used wisely, it has also made carelessness easier than ever.
But have you heard of the scribes of the past?
Have you reflected on their devotion to writing, not only in grammar and meaning, but in precision, presentation, and responsibility?
When you study Arabic calligraphy, you will definitely encounter this Sahabi’s name. He was among the early scribes of Islam, one of the few who could read and write at that time. When you study journalism, you learn not only grammar but also formatting, layout, spacing, structure, and clarity in presentation.

What if you were told that the early Muslim scribes embodied both?
Among them was Ali ibn Abi Talib (Radiyallahu Anhu).
He was known for his deep knowledge of halal and haram, and his literacy played a key role in his pursuit of sacred knowledge.
Umar Ibn Al Khattab (Radiyallahu Anhu) was strict in grammar, while Ali (Radiyallahu Anhu) was particular about how words were written.
He was known to say to those who write amongst them that words should be within the lines of the paper, with a reasonable amount of line spacing, and that the letters should be written in a clear and concise form.
He used to order his scribes: “Prepare your inks, and adorn them. Keep your pen’s nib long. Keep a reasonable amount of space between your lines, and write your letters (in a word) close to each other.”
Even whenever he would visit Kufa, he would order those who write down manuscripts of the Qur’an to make their pen large (long), meaning to write in thick, bold letters.
He would say, “What Allah has kept bright and clear, you also keep bright and clear.”
This was because Ali (Radiyallahu Anhu) was not any ordinary scribe; he was amongst the scribes who wrote the Wahy (the revelation). So his was not just writing but a preservation of revelation.

Today, many Muslims write and share reminders online.
This is something beautiful.
Words of motivation, reflections, and reminders can soften hearts and guide souls. But with this opportunity comes responsibility.
We must verify before we share.
We must rely upon what is authentic.
We must avoid spreading misinformation.
And just as we are commanded to speak clearly, we must also write clearly.
The scribes of the past remind us how seriously Muslims treated knowledge. They were meticulous not only about content but also about clarity. Even the spacing of letters mattered. They understood that when something is done for Allah, it must be done with excellence.

About the mod!
I am 19! Mainly go by he/him anyways, so this is fine! I'm not too great at socializing, but anyone is welcome to interact with me or Jimmy, it's always welcome!! Ocs and other fandoms included, of course! I can't guarantee I'll know anything about said fandom, but Jimmy won't know shit either so it works out, right?
I do not support Jimmy's actions. I'm gonna make that clear here and now, I just enjoy his writing, and want to explore him as a character. He'll also be mean a lot, that's just how he is I fear. Obviously lots of swearing. Uh. I do that a lot. Hi. Also, JimCurl is the only ship I tolerate with Jimmy in it, and it will show up on this blog. I have a tag for it, don't worry!
I know those men are awful for each other, and I would portray it as such. Even through Jimmy's twisted, unreliable perspective.
I don't really have much of a DNI, other than the basic criteria. If you have to ask what that is, you probably shouldn't interact with me anyway.
I highly encourage other blogs to interact with me!! It's really fun roleplaying and getting to know people. :] Roleplay wise, pretty much anything is on the table as long as everyone involved is having fun. I should let you know this, if I don't respond to you it's nothing personal!! I just genuinely don't know how sometimes :[. Also, I've been kind of inactive as of recent! Please be patient with me.
If I may add, I do NOT roll with the 'oh Jimmy is STINKY!! And SMELLS bad and has BAD hygiene!!' insults or whatever. My version of Jimmy has mental health issues, and he struggles with taking care of himself. It's a projection from me, I also struggle with taking care of myself so it kind of annoys me when people antagonize that. Thanks for understanding!
Just to make this clear as well cause someone asked before, minors are allowed on this blog, yes, but they need to stay away from anything suggestive, and if it's found out a minor has asked anything weird, they will be blocked for their safety.

Child abuse, child neglect, abuse in general, just Jimmy being Jimmy, self harm, sui ideation, sui in general, self harm thoughts, derealization, obviously just violence all around, manipulation and such, bugs, s/a themes, emetophobia stuff, eating disorder implications, alcoholic themes, death, murder, body horror, blood, cannibalism, I'm not sure if it's needed yet, but sometimes things do get suggestive, so be warned about that, too.
There's a lot of things that happen here that I don't have an exact warning for, things happen in roleplay you can't predict. Just be wary and cautious, I'll try to put a warning before I write anything like that. Most of this is just based on things that may happen to Jimmy in the future. He hasn't wrote in his journal in a while, he got caught up in everything going on. Maybe he should write in it again, or at least write down things that seem important. Right, no. He'd just write down a couple of things. He grabbed out his pen, his journal, right.
He forgot how many nights it's been, marking the times wasn't important anyways, he didn't need to do that. He just began to write mindlessly.
"Night."
"I have a few things I need to remember, so I'm writing them down here. 7777 is that one number that opens the ingredient machine into Kaleb's world or however the hell it does that, never looked into it."
"I didn't know where the gun case was exactly, but he did somehow. Ended up giving me the location for it. So if things go to shit like everyone claims they will, I have an escape plan."
"Kidding."
What was that thing that virus told him to type in? He was already blanking. Then he remembered it, right. Write that down for later, it might be useful.
"That virus thing's contact is just 'callback ping' I think. That's another thing I'm writing here to remember. Not that I'll ever need it, but it's nice to have that information."
"I can only hope this space trip ends soon. I'm getting real tired of this bullshit."

He never says his last name. Maybe he should. It sounded decent...? He didn't use it nearly enough.

He put away the journal in a secure spot, pairing the pen with it. Tomorrow is another day and all that, right?
He hasn't written in his journal in the daytime in a good while. He got his journal out once again.
"Day two? Of writing in this journal."
"The vents fucking suck, actually. Who would've thought. This strange device I have just attached to my belt at all times apparently is fairly useful. It seems fairly advanced, somehow."
He looked down at himself, he gained several scrapes from that vent. It was annoying to navigate through, even with help.
"Nobody has to know about anything. Gabriel trusts me. I have people out there, that actually trust me. My thoughts aren't going to ruin this for me. Which is why I'm writing them down here."
"You ever want to genuinely kill someone that just so happens to share the same face as you, except they're already fucking dead so you can't even do that? Yeah."
"This has been James, leaving this journal."
He put the journal and the pen away once more, it was a routine at this point.
New night, new journal page. You know the drill.
"Night four? Of writing in this journal."
"Shit happened today, I guess. None of my business really. People told me the ship was gonna get crashed into, fucking liars, apparently."
"And, oh... Gabriel. Gabriel remembered. Way too much. I don't know if he's ever gonna want to talk to me again. That note was hard to read."
"...Emotions are a fucking mess. And that's not even related to that specifically! I did ... something, I can't really take back. But, I don't need to write all that down."
"This has been James, leaving this journal again."
He shoved it away, curling up in on himself. Things weren't going how he wanted at all.
He was quick to grab his journal and pen again, he wasn't gonna write down too much tonight. He didn't even know if anything about today was real, actually.
"Night 3 of writing in this journal."
"I got a pipe bomb. Also I have grown fond of my flower crown. That's all. Nothing interesting happened. Nope. Nobody named Luigi or Wario or anything. Nothing."
"That's all, really."
"This is James, leaving this journal page once more."
He just shoved it away along with the pen. Yeah. He was just gonna go to sleep with that. That's all he had to write down.
He clumsily got his journal back out. He had a lot. He had a lot. So much. He grabbed the pen, undoing the cap once more. He flipped to a random page.
"Night two of writing in this journal."
"I... so much has happened. I fucking went unconscious, apparently. Learned that... Gabe might very well be Curly. The thought is nauseating, it hurts. It fucking hurts. What happened to him?"
"People kept trying to hurt Water Anon. I... got a little too violent. I hope that doesn't ruin anything. I don't know if I'd act on any of my threats... maybe. Water Anon disappeared before I could."
"I also have to think about some sort of... I don't even know. Captain thing. I don't even know if I want it anymore. The way he said that, it unnerved me. Why did he act as if I would immediately assume he meant he'd kill me? I mean. I would've, but it was still weird how he guessed that."
"Still.. don't know why he was vaguely in my 'dream'. Was he related to the cowboy thing? Apparently I go on Magic The Gathering rants when I'm unconscious, or whatever that person said. I forgot the rules, I really don't know why I did that."

The writing was hard to read. But it was ...manageable. Only he needed to read it, after all. He put the journal and the pen away once more, he was gonna get a sleep tonight, that was for sure.
