Sky slashes through the copy of Legend without hesitation, face cold and uncaring. The Master Sword - holy blade of Hylia's will and his brothers pride and joy - slaughters the illusion copy.
Legend watches in slow motion as Sky dispatches the other, face a challenge to the foe that dare stand against him.
Oh.
Legend isn't actually going to make it out of this. Not really. He still doesn't have it in him to do what he would have to do to win.
Sky no longer cares for any ties they have, the guilt tripping from before we're just low blows.
The wind picks up-
Legend is going to die at his brother's hand knowing he's the one at fault. He has to be - because why else would Sky want his blood?
Just run out the clock. Legend has to try. He has to try to keep his promises and go home to Ravio.
He never got the chance to explain his plans to Sky, but why would Sky ever choose to listen to him over Fi?
Fi is - against his personal thoughts - an instrument of Hylia and Sky will always choose her.
Legend is - a monster wearing the face of a boy who died with his uncle all those years ago.
