Detective Sonny Carisi carefully arranged his clothes on his side of the closet while Amanda began to place her things in the drawer of the dresser. They had been assigned this undercover assignment, and he knew she was worried Jessie being with Olivia and Noah. The assignment wasn't supposed to last long. Maybe a week, but on the chance that it could be longer, they had made arrangements for Amanda's Mom to come and get Jessie on Friday. He hoped that Amanda was back to her girl long before then.

He glanced over at her, giving a soft sigh before he moved closer to his partner. He touched her arm gently trying to get her attention. "She's gonna be alright with Liv and Noah. Amanda, you don't have to do this if it's too much…" He didn't want to do this with anyone else, but he completely understood if it was too much for her to be away from her little girl.

"Liv would understand, too," he told her as he sat on the edge of the bed and looked up at her. "You don't have to save the world, you know?" His eyes narrowed slightly before he leaned one elbow on his knee. "But I got your back if you're worried about that. No one is going to hurt you. Not on my watch."

Captain Olivia Benson's heart damn near stopped when she heard that Amanda had been shot while on assignment to protect a victim. She hadn't been able to get to the hospital until everything was squared away at the scene, and the time it took seemed to take forever. Seeing her was the only thing that had calmed her nerves and fears. She couldn't stop thinking about having to tell Jessie and Billie that their mother wouldn't be coming home.

This job had always come with risks, but it wasn't until she'd had a child of her own that she realized just how detrimental those risks were. She hadn't thought for a moment to give up her job. Her work was too important, but she understood those that did get out of the line of duty after having children. She didn't blame them one bit. Especially when something like being shot or a near miss happened. It affected everyone differently. And to be honest, she was terrified that it would take one of her best detectives, not to mention one of her best friends, away from the job.

She pushed all of that aside as she quietly walked down the hall to Amanda's apartment. Noah had decided to stay with Lucy instead of coming with her to visit Amanda and the girls, and while she was disappointed, she understood. She knocked softly on the Rollins' apartment door with her free hand. In her other hand, she had takeout from Amanda's favorite Italian place with enough food to feed all three of them for a couple of meals.

Emma had put an effort into looking as pretty as possible, all curls and sparkly gowns, since she knew the rumors about her being little more than a savage from an isolated country, and had meant to appear proper at least at the very beginning. But the gardens were lovely and she had ended up walking away from the spot with 'just the right light' as her servants had called it; said servants had reported some of the rumors they had heard, which had brought Emma to sneak around not only to look at the flowers but to catch a first glimpse of the king and decide if the best course of action was to call it off immediately.

If he was the big, scary-looking man she had spotted earlier before, she might have to; couldn't risk being potentially attacked by a reclusive giant, could she? Especially if she was meant to carry his children some day. And there they were again, the men discussing something not too far, and she climbed on a large planter to try to look over the plants. "Hey you!" she called, half whispering, to a man who had to be quite a handsome servant of the king, "Could you come here, quickly, please? Look at those men...!" she hopped off, pushing some of the leaves away, "You see that one, tall and shaped like a bear? Is that the King?"

Visitors to the Moonlight Grove are rare, and while the Snow Elves are most abundant in High Ice, they almost never approach the druid groves first except in the most dire circumstances or without some other important reason.

The frost druid, Cellica, was just returning from a patrol of the Untrivven mountain when she encountered one of these distant elven cousins near her hidden grove. Of course, upon approaching her it became quickly apparent she was a half-elf - a rarity among her cold cousins. Never the less, Cellica regarded her warmly, removing the mask she wore to protect from the harsh glacial winds.

"AlaE, etriel," she greeted her with a fist over her chest, her elm wood staff held in the other hand.

Regis placed a finger to his lips, his eyes glancing at the door and listening to the footsteps outside of the room. There were familiar voices from some Councilmembers asking if someone had seen the King. That they had things to discuss. When the voices and footsteps faded away, Regis gave a soft sigh. "Thank the Astrals. I thought they'd keep following me." Finally he turned his head to his wife, his hands moving to rest on her hips. "Hello, my love. Miss me?"

Carlos beamed as he opened up the door, seeing her stood there with Charlie in her arms. "Two lovely ladies at my doorstep." he commented, before stepping back to allow her to enter. "Thanks for coming over tonight, it'll be nice to have the company." Carlos had been going a little stir crazy, being home alone on leave following the Keyes incident, so having his good friend over for some dinner was a blessing.

Haley sucked in a breath as she felt Nathan's hands on her shoulders, her eyes closing when their foreheads touched. It was a comforting gesture in so many ways, grounding her when she felt like she couldn't breath. It was stupid to have been that worried. Lydia had gotten hurt, scrapped up her arm and had to have a little brace on it. The mom had thought they were still a few years away from that happening, but no. "The doctor did say she's okay? It's not broken?" The words were quiet, slowly blinking her eyes open once more as she looked up at him.

Haley was definitely one of those moms who worried about their children a lot, but he was that way too, about them. Jamie had gotten kidnapped so many times as a kid, and he was so protective of Lydia. "Nah, she's okay. She's tough. She's not just a Scott girl but a James girl too. It will take more than that to break her." He pressed a kiss to her forehead. "It's not as bad as when Jamie jumped off the house into the pool. Remember how you almost killed him and me?"

               stepping   out   of   his   office,   he   had   a   file   in   hand.      the   last   remnants   of   paper   work   completed   for   this   last   case,   he   was   ready   to   turn   in.      he   wouldn’t   be,   as   the   team   had   decided   it   was   a   great   night   to   go   out   together   to   let   loose   and   blow   off   steam.      aaron   wasn’t   much   for   letting   loose,   especially   after   haley   died,   but   he   did   enjoy   spending   time   with   the   team   outside   of   the   office.      as   he   descends   the   couple   steps   into   the   bullpen,   he’s   suddenly   struck   by   hard   plastic.      ❝   what   —   ❞      looking   down   at   the   ground,   he   sees   a   familiar   little   black   cylinder.      picking   it   up,   his   gaze   shifts   to   reid’s   desk   where   the   girls   desperately   try   to   disperse,   leaving   the   youngest   member   frozen   in   place.      ❝   seriously   reid?      physics   magic,   again?   ❞
