Happy Birthday Barbara Finch!!^^
31/10/1944
Today would have been yours 80th birthday^^ that’s insane !! I just know she loved having her birthday on Halloween
What the storm couldn't catch: part 3, rewritten.
*ੈ✩‧₊˚༺☆༻*ੈ✩‧₊˚
Gus started looking around frantically, where was everyone???
He crawled over to the house and his arm.. and leg.. phased through the wall. He fully went in and watch the somber house, no one was in the kitchen, the drawings on the fridge were there still.
And something new. His funeral certificate. He ignored it purposefully and went up to his room to the bathtub, to try to see if this was even real,
Where greg-
Gregory?
(Gus wondered if that was even the baby's name. )
The younger boys laughter filled the dirty, dusty and moldy looking room as gus made his way, as fast as he could, over to the bathtub as quick as he could and hung over the edge where the drowned one sat.
The one with the mowhawk stared at him. He *had* the be hallucinating. Greg died YEARS ago!
..his head hurt. Did he die years ago? Decades? Minutes..??
Then again, gus had just.. he didn't want to say it. Not. At. All. It wasn't true. He isn't dead.
Gus grabbed the happy one and held him as he stood.
Well, more like leaned. He sucked in a breath and went into their room. Where.. dawn. Dawn was there.
He didn't like this. Dawn just stared at the locker they had to use, their father dead set on them being raised like goddamn military making them use it. Or, just her now.
The blonde (?) girl carried herself out of the now empty room slowly yet surely. The tallest one, gus, put Greg in his crib for the first time in years, the last time was.. the night before. The night before Gregory's bath.
(Greg could've been 8 by now. Yet he wasn't. All because of their dammed mother. Yet gus still missed her. How could he?)
He shook the thought away and laid in his own bed and tried, unsuccesfully, to sleep.
He gave up after a few hours and stood yet again, going into the secret rooms the father never let them enter often. Gram-gram edith let them , though.
The first was aunt Barbaras room. His father and grandmother spoke of her fondly, but distant.
------------
A few hours later and now he had a new aunt. well, knew his aunt better. Her skull was showing and legs basically gone, but she spoke fine, she showed him her Bigfoot movie, the house felt haunted due to the movie playing in her room near constantly. Now he knew it was haunted. He never watched it, deeming it corny, (and upsetting that so many passed in this place.)
Though, surprisingly, he loved it! LOVED IT! ugh!
Auntie barb giggled and played it again as she floated to get her surprising clean old crutch to show him. He like history in school, so he knew most of the stuff in Barbara's old textbooks. (he would love, surprising, to be there now because he wouldn't be like.. this.)
He told her about his sister, dawn, and she told him of Molly. Was Molly here too?
He looked at the television again, heavily focused as he was already thinking of ways to get it on the other t.v downstairs, he heard voices in his room. Well, Gregs, dawns and his room, but..
They spoke of Gregory and him. He tuned it out. (It was grandma and dad. They argued of how the latter should've brought him inside. It didn't matter anymore. Too little too late.)
Auntie barb seemingly did the same. Must've been difficult to hear their voices knowing she'll never go back. But gus isn't dead. He can go back!
(He's dead he's dead he's dead he's dead dead dead dead-)
No.
..what was he saying?
Guys...Barbara was a pretty, blonde, teenage waitress at a diner in the 50s. She probably got whistles and gross comments every single day. What if someone from the diner she worked at stalked her and followed her to the house, and ended up killing her?
Just a thought.
Some Lewis Finch headcanons because he’s a good boi
- Out of the three siblings, he’s the only one who speaks Indian.
- After his dad died, he became more quiet and depressed. He believed that it was his fault that he died, because before Sanjay went to the relief effort site, Lewis told him to stay safe and come back alive, and Lewis believes that he jinxed it.
- Dyed the tips of his hair blonde. that’s why in the game we see him with blond hair, even though in the photos around the house he has brown hair.
- Has a sarcastic humor.
-Pansexual boy.
- Watched “My friend bigfoot” (You know, Barbara’s movie) a few times with his father, and every time they watched it, they criticized it. A lot.
- Has Coulrophobia (fear of clowns), Agrophobia (fear of open or crowded places), Atychiphobia (Fear of failure) and Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia (fear of really long words)
- Has a pile of manga books under his bed.
- Has also written a diary where he talks about his family’s history.
His opinions on his dead family members at that time are:
Molly- “Welp, that explains why mom named our cat Molly.”
Odin- “Remember kids- If your family is cursed, don’t build a boathouse.”
Calvin- “He actually went all the way around. If he was still alive, he would’ve gotten a prize for that.”
Barbara- “Awww man. Dad and I used to watch her movie.”
Rick- “A**hole.”
(Walter wasn’t dead yet)
Sam- “Mom saw her father died and never told us about it. But hey, I guess that explains why she’s vegetarian now.”
Gregory- “A BABY died in this house. He could see the world, grow up, be our cool uncle, but NOOOOO. He just had to be left in the bathtub without anyone noticing.”
Gus- “Uncle Gus sounds like a cool guy. I wish I could’ve met him.”
Sanjay- “Dad... I could talk about him for hours. The greatest guy on earth, the best father in the universe... God, I miss him.”
Milton- “I couldn’t get over dad’s death and Milton disappeared. I think it was my fault. I should’ve watched him. I think he might be dead, like the rest of the family, but mom is too naive and hopeful. I just hope I wouldn’t lose Edith too.”
Happy Birthday again Barbara^^ I drew her as a witch cuz why not? It’s her birthday plus it’s Halloween :33
It may not appear like it but this was a very rushed drawing. Normally I try to take a little more time in my pieces. I had to pack for tmr, I have a three day job at a creativity camp lmao
Prom Queen Barbara
You can’t deny that she would be a wonderful prom queen.
I keep saying that my art is lacking when I’m tired, yet I insist on staying up till 5 AM to draw 😫 Barbara deserve better than this but I hope I did her enough justice.
Happy Birthday Barbara Finch!! 🥳🥳
