I CAN'T FORCE MYSELF TO BE SOMETHING I'M NOT!

I won't ever be able to 'just go to sleep' at one in the morning when i have nothing to do because I CAN'T run on that kind of schedule! I'm awake from 4 pm to 4 am and I can't help that. SO LEAVE ME ALONE!

Most Embarrassing Moment?

So two nights ago I walked into the break room of the Company and waited for 9:55p, so I could clock in. Manager A came over and told me that J has to drop down to one day per week, and asked if I could move to Thursday nights instead of Friday nights. I told her no problem.

When the clock finally hit 9:55, I went over to the time-clock and swept my badge.

*BEEP*, the clock said. You are not scheduled to work at this time. If a manager asked you to work, please press "Override" and enter their name and what time they asked you to work.

I blinked at it. Then I went back to Manager A. "Umm, I'm not scheduled tonight?" I asked.

She glanced at her schedule, and closed her eyes. "I could have sworn you were, but not until next Friday."

I sighed, my cheeks heating up. "So I just go home, then?"

Manager A shook her head. "If you could just go make sure that J or S is in produce tonight, that would be great. If they are, you can go home. If not, override the punch and say that I told you to work."

I shrugged and made my way to produce. When I walked in, Z was in the cooler doing something, so I checked my schedule. Sure enough, I had been a week off. I'm not scheduled until next Friday. My cheeks burned again, even though there was no one there to see my mistake.

V came in to ask Z a question, and paused as he saw me. "Hey, do I know you?" He grinned at me.

I grinned back. "I don't know; do you?"

He shook his head, and suddenly twisted and threw a ninja star at Z, who had just come out of the cooler. Z ducked, but the star hit him in the shoulder. "Gotcha!" V crowed, laughing. Z pouted a little, and then yelped as V pelted him with three more ninja stars.

I laughed, leaning back against the swinging doors and almost falling through them. V and Z both laughed at me. "Are J or Z going to be here tonight?" I asked.

Z looked at me strangely. "Umm, I'm Z."

I facepalmed. "Sorry, sorry, I meant S. My brain isn't working tonight, apparently. Probably the reason why I'm even here."

V cocked his head. "What do you mean?"

I grimaced. "I'm not scheduled tonight. I read my schedule wrong."

They both stared, then glanced at each other. Apparently generously deciding not to make fun of me for this, Z shrugged. "I think J is supposed to be here. S is dropping down to Saturday nights only."

Aw, man, that means I won't be seeing him for a while. "Okay," I said. "Manager A told me I had to stay here until J shows up, in case he doesn't." I smiled sweetly.

Z bent to the task of picking up the four ninja stars, and V glanced out the windows in the swinging doors. "Oh, here comes J!" he said. "Z, get on the other side of the door, and we'll get him as he comes in."

When J came through the door, I hissed at him to duck, but it was too late. Fortunately, all four ninja stars missed. J caught one. "Oh, is this what you spent all night making?" he asked V with a grin.

V shook his head. "No, we did actual work," he replied, faking that he was insulted.

I stayed for the next 45 minutes, relishing in their company. I hadn't seen V in like two and a half months. Unfortunately, he was late that day, and seems to think he's going to be fired. No one is sure what will happen, though, so I guess we're going to wait it out.

At least I get to hang out with them outside of work now. So it's not like I'll never see him again.
