A right step at the wrong time is the wrong step

⌠Wrong Step - Yunho & Shin Yeong⌡
”That was good. Very good.” Her professor told her, “You’re moving just the way I told you and you let the music control your limbs just perfectly. If you keep it this way…You’re going to be a magnificent dancer.” He continued. Shin Yeong’s face brightened up, she didn’t expect this to happen and was actually really happy about it.
” Now stretch, you need to keep your muscles soft and flexible.” She did how she was told, but soon realised, that he was just taking off to leave. She didn’t know why she felt disappointed all of a sudden, she didn’t expect much, but she had hoped that he would teach her a little more about dancing. This on the other hand felt like a “good bye.”
He turned around, smiled and bowed his head before taking his backpack to leave. She bowed herself, but he had already left.
**
A week had passed and Shin Yeong was actually not lost for once. She was a bit early this time. She sat down on her usual place and got ready for class. The day after that “dancing lesson” she had seen a poster for a dancing contest. The prize wasn’t anything big, but she loved sweets so even that coupon for a cake shop attracted her. Should I participate? It’s a quite expensive shop put the sweets really are great… But the bigger problem is: It’s a pair-dancing competition… I don’t really know anyone who would join me in this…
After the room filled up little by little the professor stepped in. As she looked at him she remembered him helping her and decided to ask him after the class had ended. Instead of listening she tried to get the courage up to ask him.
No, you can’t back off now! What can actually happen to you? The worst say he can do is say no, right? So go there and just ask! Shin Yeong was walking towards her teacher, looking a bit nervous. “Uhm… professor?”
The Wrong Step: The Jude Law Syndrome
Usually this featured is dedicated to the misteps of an actor. But let's make a little exception for now.
Remember 2004, the year when Jude Law was everywhere?
Jude Law is a good actor, I'm not judging his acting abilities here. But the year 2004 was a real invasion of the silver screen. It's probably not his fault, because I'm sure that some movies took longer to make and they just happened to all be released during the same year. But many people got tired of him after that (also because he was all over the gossip magazines).
Actors who get almost 10 projects a year, like Ryan Reynolds or Jeremy Renner, should slow down. Take your cues from Daniel Day Lewis: quality over quantity.
The Wrong Step of Robert De Niro
Don't get me wrong, Robert DeNiro is a great actor. In my opinion, probably one of the finest in movie history. But lately, he's been slacking off for quite a while. How can you go from Taxi Driver to Little Fockers?
Let's find out when he started being lazy.
The wrong step: The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle
It's understandable to start making comedies like Meet the Parents or Analyse This, because following dramas one after another can drain your energy, but at least choose them right!
De Niro had absolutely no excuses to star in such an abominable movie, because he produced it! At least we know that he lost a few millions by making this turd, which is a good thing. But it was the start of a new career for him, during which he refused to work with Martin Scorsese, turned down a few great scripts and made stuff like Showtime or Hide and Seek instead.
At this point, Robert De Niro became a bit lazy and probably more interessed in the paycheck than the actual movie.
If Robert De Niro heads the jury of the Cannes Film Festival this year, it's certainly not because of his recent contributions to cinema. He'll always be a legend, that's for sure, but one with a slightly tarnished filmography.
