some angsty wrong tacobook cue chappel roan’s “casual” playing taco and book start to get close but taco with her past and losing people starts pushing book away, reminding her this was a deal, not a long term thing, wnen taco breaks it off book is all snotty crying mess sputtering while asking “WAS IT CASUAL WHEN YOU SAVED ME AND TOLD ME YOU LOVED ME?!” but taco does respond. because she knows it was not casual

a ‘wrong tacobook’ (book x ii taco) post i wrote. thanks @wellreaad for vaguely being the inspiration for this!

taco's always 'worried' and tries to plan like 10 steps ahead. and in goiky, shes always on edge as. she doesnt know anyone, and can never guarantee her name hadnt gotten around there. one of the side effects of this was for the longest time, she always kept the invisibility bow on her, the one she stole from test tubes lab. the thing is though, book found this mildly offputting. it reminded her of bfditacos abandonment of her. the fact that iitaco could always disappear and abandon book with the push of a button would constantly get to her. she wouldn’t have the strength to bring it up to taco however

either way, taco would almost always have the bowtie (and her gun) on her while in goiky, but as time passed, the two of them spent more time together, and taco got to learn more about book, taco got more and more comfortable around book. this was because taco became more aware and accepting of book's insistency on protecting people / overprotection of those she cares about. shes hazy on who she trusts and especially finds it hard to believe that she’d have someone who could protect her, but. after a certain point, she’d genuinely have a deep trust in book, and belief that book’ll keep her safe to an extent.

as the two of them went out from this point onward, taco’d leave her bowtie at home! she still keeps her gun on her, but not neccesarily to protect herself, but to protect book. book, in turn found this comforting! she always felt protective over those she interacts with but she’d never really felt protected herself. the feeling is mutual by this point. they vow to protect each other and they know the other will protect them. at some point, book gifts taco a normal, standard red bowtie.
