SOLO: TRUE BEAUTY
synopsis — miles has accepted that he makes a terrible idol and so, is pursuing acting to broaden his horizons in the future case that yuseong decides to end his contract after finding out he had tried to sacrifice the ceo to satan. word count — 384
he has expressed some interest in wanting to pursue things outside of his mediocre singing and dancing abilities. his variety and artistry are deemed absolute horse shit in an industry where everyone strived to be the best at everything they do. perfection and nothing less. idols that demonstrated extreme talent in sporting, hitting bullseyes without a day of training, running track in record time that not even usain bolt could beat. production prowess at their fingertips, not to mention the insanity that is their resume. lists upon lists of magazine covers, modelling for shoots beyond comprehension, a true triple threat, perhaps even a quadruple threat to the industry.
and then... then, there was miles. the proud crescent reject that would sometimes get himself into trouble because he never learnt how to cultivate a healthy path of communication. sarcasm that lathers his tone, unfiltered syllables that fall from thinned lips, having been bitten down by the need to just roll his eyes to the ends of the earth.
he almost wants to give up, revert to his former glory as kitchen staff for his mother’s restaurant. at least there, he was able to carry five plates at one time without dropping any. here, he couldn’t even appear on television without feeling a sense of rejection, or the impending slander that would follow as he says something out of tune. polarising, they call him. yet, here he was, handed the role of an equally polarising character. it’s about time he made use of his already flopping career, to take the reins of his own choices and to broaden the horizons of his doomed life choices. especially, with the recent developments of his adventures with minho, it wouldn’t be surprising if one day the ceo woke up and felt the need to sacrifice miles to the curse of unemployment. he would then still have the option to become an actor of some sort.
the script in his hand, he briefly scans the pages, finds that the mere thought of having to romance chorong sends an acidic flow up his throat. his nostrils flare with a slight shiver as he continues to flip through the pages. the only image of chorong was the one with her holding a knife, how does he romance a potential murderer?
