I love WSDOT so much.

Their map for visiting World Cup fans. I can't even pick my favorite parts, although the explodey mountains, the soccer-playing orca, and the "CANADA" / "NOT CANADA" labels for the Vancouvers are sending me.

So is crossing out the "the" in front of I-5. Californians, that one's for you. *stares pointedly*

So Much Trash

Beth and I have spent a combined 18 hours picking up trash along I-90 and we’ve still only cleaned ~1.5 miles of the 2 miles we’ve ‘adopted’. It’s a good reminder that if something which has been exposed to humans isn’t filthy, it’s because someone cleaned it. I think WSDOT suspended all highway cleanup during Covid and the entire I-90 corridor from Seattle to Ellensburg (that’s as far East as we go) is strewn with trash. I can’t imagine how long it will take to clean or how they plan to do it.
