Can I just say, I love their family so much, like they're so much fun to draw together. I need more excuses to draw them all-

Anyhow, here's the next part of this thing (haha I finally explained the Junior flashback at the beginning there.)

Thank you so so much! I love hearing what you guys have to say about my silly doodle things over here, it means so much!

It was pretty hard to choose between those two options, I'm not going to lie, but I decided to go with an epilogue.

The main reason was because I have a future project that will include aspects very much akin to "Leo-does-something-stupid-and-wreckless-and-scares-Donnie-to-death."

Donnie's basically canon Donnie up until a point right? So the same Donnie who used to be so desperate for some kind of parental approval saw this version of Splinter being caring with Mikey and being, presumably, even more distant from Donnie than even his version of his dad, because yk... He doesn't like... Know him the way that his own dad does. So he saw that he was protective of and caring towards Mikey, but didn't immediately start fathering Donnie and was like... I'm basically a suspect to him

Oh that's tragic

Can we pretty please get some aftermath stuff of Splinter comforting him?

Welcome back to another episode of "Turtle Gets a Hug"

Dee tried so hard not to get attached to this new family of his, he really did, avoided anything that would get him to care for them.

And he did fine for the first month or two, but eventually, one by one, they got through his defenses. He found himself coming to love the people he had lost.

With that newfound devotion came the deep sense to prove himself - to his parents, yes, but also his brothers.

He helped them out where he could, all the while staying in control of his emotions, because one wrong move would surely send everything falling apart again.

But nobody's perfect.

When Donnie saw the Foot? When he lost his temper? Yeah, he knew he was done for. I mean, he yelled at Mikey, his parents' precious little golden boy. There had to be repercussions for that.

And his parents weren't exactly thrilled at his outburst, that much was true.

But they also knew that he's been through a lot, and that these kinds of outbursts were bound to happen at some point. (Draxum's made the comment that it's a step up from him keeping everything in all the time.)

Needless to say, there's a lot of confusion and lack of communication on both sides.

Which'll hopefully get cleared up one of these days. . .

You've totally nailed this, yes. I have a little comic idea planned that'll dive more into Donnie's relationship with Splinter and the other two parents (I got no idea when I'll actually finish it though)
