Awkward Phase
Everyone has that “awkward” phase while growing up when you have that weird fashion sense, maybe your teeth are all screwed up, you might be a little chunky, haven’t started wearing makeup, weird bushy eyebrows …it can be anything. Well I would say mine was 3rd grade and then came back again 6-8 (which 8th is debatable, I think I was fine ).
So, I was siting with my man in my bedroom I grew up in and he said, “it’s really hard to take your seriously when you try to be sexy now because of that”. I look behind me and there is my 6th grade school photo . I am wearing a pooka necklace, cream sweater and a terrible curl job done by my mother. I quickly got on the defense and said we all have that awkward phase and mine was 6-8 (being generous on the 8th grade year) and he said oh no sweetie you mean k-12.
Sucks.
