WTNVCON IS OVER, FOLKS. AND IT WAS FANTASTIC.

And so we reach the end of this celebration in our fair town. The City Council thanks everyone for their participation and sends the Sheriff’s Secret Police with your badges. Those who have not received them yet will wake sometime soon to find them beneath their pillows, along with a tooth in apology for the delay. (Teeth can be exchanged at the usual rate at the municipal building. Collect seventeen for a special prize!)

We saw some amazing pieces of art and fiction over the week, as well as some super creative cosplay and photography. We had the chance to find new fans of our community radio show and meet our neighbors. It was a wonderful experience, and we hope to do it again in the future if time continues to exist.

What’s next? Well, DON’T STOP. Continue to show your love of Welcome to Night Vale and feed the egos of its creators so that it will continue! If you weren’t one of the lucky few to win merchandise from the Night Vale store, pick up your own when you can! Anything to show our love and support for this delightfully weird and creative work.

You may also continue to create things in honor of the convention, and badges will continue to be awarded! However, there will be no new events. 

Keep listening! And keep thinking and creating and breathing! (Living is optional, but highly recommended. Remember, while ghosts can marry, they are not permitted to have children. Don’t you want children or pets some day? Keep living Night Vale.)

A post will go up once all the badges are out with the list of badge winners and the hash tags used so you can explore at your leisure. The City Council highly recommends exploring, except in the abandoned subway tunnels.

And so allow us to draw this convention to a close. It was a great one.

WTNVCon is not over yet - it ends on Sunday, September 8th, and there are more events to come! So far, it's been a huge success, and we've seen utterly fantastic work from all participants. We hope you are enjoying it as much as we are!

So to create a character, does the character need to be drawn out? And, if so, will the drawing have any effect on judgement of character quality?

The character does not have to be drawn.

If you are going to draw a character, it would be great to include some supplemental information about them (history, likes, dislikes, etc).
