Tweedlethree ~*Paige, Maddie and Jefferson*~

Paige was excited. No, it was more than that. Paige was glowing. It was Easter! One of her favorite holidays ever and there was this gigantic egg hunt at the park and basically she was so excited that her parents were wondering if she would vibrate straight off the seat of the car while they were driving her there. 

"Now, sweetie, I'm really sorry I won't be there..." her mother began, for the third time. Paige cut her off with a smile. 

"It's okay, momma. I know you wanted to come. I'll be fine, promise." her mother kissed her on the forehead, still looking guilty, then Paige hopped out of the car and waved at her mother as she sped away.

She should probably be more upset, honestly, but she was just way too excited to participate. Flouncing over to the stand with the sign reading CHILDREN SIGN IN HERE, she chatted merrily with some nearby children, and waved to her friend Henry several feet away. 

After signing in, she read her little paper and gasped happily.

Be My Guest? || Blind Date || Maddie and Gray

Date/Time: February 14th, 2014, 8:37 pm.

Location: Chez Invité

Gray looked at the clock for the fourth time in the past minute. He had been sitting at the table for the past seven minutes, having arrived at eight thirty sharp, which is when he and the girl he had been matched with for the blind date were supposed to meet. She was late. Not that he had truly expected the stranger to be on time, but he couldn't help but be slightly irritated. But at least getting there early meant that he had time to order a bottle of wine, though the single red rose in a glass case at the center of the table made the scene so romantic that he wished he had never signed up for the dating service. He didn't even know anything about the girl other than her name.

Perhaps it had been Vaisey's comments over the past few weeks that made him sign up, or perhaps the it was idea of spending yet another Valentine's Day alone while everyone at the office obsessed over their plans. Either way, he was regretting it now. Amongst his tendency not to get along with people, and to suffer when he was around them, Gray was spending a decently large amount of money to look good for a girl that he probably wouldn't even like. Knowing him, the evening would probably be cut short because one of them would storm out. Why did you think this was a good idea? Idiot! He couldn't help but mentally chide himself, wishing he had thought twice before sending in the form. Too late now.

He looked around again, keeping an eye out for any woman walking towards his table. This was taking too long. Screw the reservation and the plans and everything, he should probably leave. But he liked the cute little French restaurant, and remembered that all he had at home was cold pizza. With a sigh, Gray straightened his silverware, resolving to be patient. He was so focused on making sure that his cutlery was lined up parallel, trying to distract himself, that he didn't notice when a blonde girl made her way towards his table, a sign that the wait he was so studiously trying to forget about was over.

I think you're beautiful. I love your hair when you wear a ribbon in it. I love how you seem to walk on air wherever you go. I love your smile and your laugh and how you see the world so differently from everyone else. I love the imaginary places you dream of, and how kind you are to everyone. You shine like sunlight. I don't think you see it though, so I thought I'd tell you. I'm not good with words or anything, but I just wanted you to know how great you are.
