Year after year, Jefferson had watched her. Trapped in a circle repeating itself over and over, he had plenty of time to learn the schedule. Even the oddities that were out of beat, he still knew them like the back of his hand. When the same day repeated itself for years on end, it wasn't hard for him to know her every move. Everywhere she went. When she when there. And why.
Jefferson sat at the tea shop, eyes on the clock, leg jumping impatiently as the second hand ticked by. She'd be here any second now, unless something kept her. When the minute hand struck, Jefferson flipped open a newspaper, staring blankly at the letters in front of him. He wouldn't read it. Simply.. listen for her. He'd never interact, or peer over the paper. To her, he needed to be a ghost. A face lost in the crowd of people she didn't know. At least for now. Until he could take her away from this place, all he could do was wait.. and listen. Surely, she would enter that door in a mere few seconds.
