Oh hells yeah, Sticks and X go into the Monster Hunter world! That’s definitely a series that’s only grown more popular since 2015, with its cat-like inhabitants and super-detailed monster designs becoming better with every new game.
Funny how the Felyne and Pelico are dressed like Sonic and Mega Man due being based on DLC costumes, but in-universe it goes completely unexplained. Little furry creatures here just like dressing as heroes from other universes I guess.
This huge Gore Magala comes in and wrecks the X Hunter guys with some family-unfriendly violence that only works ‘cause they’re robots. xD Also Sticks can communicate with the beast because of course she can.
I do kinda wish they didn’t have the recurring joke of “characters act confused over weird stuff the new guys do”. Maybe once or twice it works but I start to get a lil tired of it.
Fitting for these guys though, as the Billy Hatcher world is already pretty juvenile and bizarre.
Ready for yet another foray into Sega and Capcom franchises? Me neither, but at least the art is good. forgive me if I skim over anyone’s fave properties, I’ll but be noting the ones I’m more familiar with. xD
This cover seems like a homage to issue 161′s cover, also done by Spaziante. I guess Sticks’ attitude is just like that of Scourge’s?
While I haven’t shown the other properties, part of this crossover that I genuinely appreciate is that it brings up old properties that people forgot about, like Golden Axe and Panzer Dragoon. It helps that they’re drawn by Tyson Hesse, who is great at both expressions and accurately drawing all the different characters, human and anthropomorphic!
