"You know, when I was of your age." Yi began, flourishing a gloved hand idly, though after a pause for lens actuating powered thought it fell back to his side, "... I was going to say I was fighting in a war, but I was probably older than what you are now." He pouted slightly, though he wouldn't ever think to admit it, "What I mean to ask though is this: Have you ever fought in any wars for your country, as young as you are? My understanding of this country's.... military system is quite confused. I am under the impression all must serve, yes? So, have you? Do you?"

If Yi had learned anything from his travels, it was that the world had a way of dredging up past faces and presenting them in the most nondescript of places. Though the face, in this case, was an aura unmistakably sore to behold. While buying for supplies wherever he could find them, (and entertaining those who still managed to remember, years on, his visage from the crystal screens he used to battle upon) he spotted the inconspicuous soul quite... conspicuously.

"The crow flies far from his murder, it would seem." Yi said, confronting the man with a slim smile on his visible features. Last time it had certainly been interesting, so his curiosity compelled him to speak. He did, at least for the other's sake, try not to make a big deal of his words or his approach, "Though I suppose the last time you also flew to me alone. I am not sure you have a murder at all. How are the troubles of this world faring, friend?"

Magic was a funny thing. It's behavior was unpredictable, and sticky, and its nature wild and vast. No one appreciated that more than the Wuju Bladesman, though really he wished he didn't as his lenses ticked and spluttered in the middle of a place that might recognize him for it, and for the worst. But he couldn't help trailing onto a soul that had wisps of an odd aura about them. Something was there, or at least something might have once been there, and Yi was too much of a curios cat to let the aura pass him by.

"Excuse me?" He called brazenly, trying too catch the man and his attention, "Perhaps this is forward, but could I have a word for a moment, Stranger? I see in you, or around you, something I find most peculiar..." He frowned behind his active lenses. Of all the strangers he had approached, this had to be the worst opening, but there was little he could do to take it back, "... I am a pursuer of unique individuals, you will find."

That silhouette. The gauze. The general unsettling aura. Yi said nothing upon beholding the Zaunite, merely staring upon him with screaming goggles as if Yi had walked in on a murder. Truly it felt like that too. A murder decades removed...

... But surely it couldn't be him? Surely he was beginning to panic for no reason.

“A yordle? You are a yordle, yes?” Yi felt the words leave him before he could even stop to consider the person before him. Though he brought a hand to his mouth to catch his sudden comments, it did little to abate that which had already been said. So he took his hand away from his face almost as quickly as he had put it there, lenses ticking on against strange colors of magic that assaulted his lenses.

He noted nothing out of the ordinary however. How was a yordle even supposed to look, aura wise?

“I mean! I mean... It is so very rare that I see yordles in my travels. I have met only one other in my time. Pardon my bluntness, and please tell me your name if you so wish to.” He astutely dipped his form at the waist, holding it there as he went through his pleasantries, “Once again, forgive me. I do not mean to approach you so...”

Yi took a notable pause to look the stranger up and down. Up certainly more than down, with the height difference of all things being the first detail of note. But the more he examined, the more he found something else that set the man apart from any other person encountered along the way.

But left with audible actuating lenses for too long, Yi felt obligated to at least say something.

“You... certainly must draw stares wherever you go, Stranger.” He commented with a tentative air, shrugging his shoulder to shift the weight of the grand jade dao that sat there,“Or perhaps it is just me that sees you for your... odd aura. Magic, and hextech, that I have perhaps never seen before in my travels. Forgive me, however, if this is your attempt at... being discrete. I do not mean to single you out...”

Tobias was wandering around the Ionian forest. The weather was beautiful; warm, a bit windy, the nature around him was giving away its pleasant scent... it was pretty much therapeutic to him. It was great to go out from his house and stop wondering about the dangers for a while. However, he still had his saber just in case. And so far, he hadn't noticed anyone yet. But maybe someone would come to visit the forest as well? 

Good weather was a blessing, given the harshness that could sometimes be the Ionian winter. The wilds offered Yi a simple retreat from humans and their struggles. The spirits sometimes had their own qualms or fascinations, but even they were mostly polite enough to leave him be as he sat in true meditation. Thinking of nothing, worrying on nothing, what a nice day to not have to look at it all?

But footfall broke his stature, his head turning slightly at the sound. He hoped not to startle, but the Bladesman had to call in good faith,

“Hello? Is someone lost this day?”

Nerves weren't something he'd normally admit to, but the Bladesman felt an unmistakable surge in his gut as he approached the Ionian Elder. However, as he astutely dipped his back at almost a ninety degree angle he couldn't quite pin point why. Was it her position? Was it because she was a woman? Was it merely because years in isolation had dulled his confidence in general?

He couldn't be sure at all, but that didn't stop his voice from ringing out as bassy and even as it always did,

"Dutchess Karma," He began, still holding his bow firm, "Tales of you reach even those such as me that have... been absent from Ionian politics for quite some time now. But this Wuju Practitioner would humbly ask a moment of your time," Swiftly he finally came to stand up straight, as if the act did nothing to dent his posture, "if only to come to know the Elder instead of just tales of her. Forgive me if that is too much to ask..."
