not to be hashtag basic but if im being really honest w/myself here then my favourite poets to actually read/write about (as opposed to how much i like them as people/historical figures) are:

1. lord byron

2. seamus heaney

3. thomas gray

4. thomas hardy (i don’t really like his novels but his poetry just GETS IT)

5. samuel taylor coleridge

theres so many other honourable mentions but i definitely dont know their bibliography as well or connect with it as much!
