NOT often had he bared witness to a variety of fauna before his infamous worldwide heist. Australia’s scarce wastelands barely homed anything more than the occasional insect, and more often than not, scorpions. Plenty of those. His mind instantly scatters upon sight of strange, orange patterned furs before even beginning to piece away both clothing and upright posture. Whatever this creature was - it was fascinating yet horrific all the same. A delightful change of scenery compared to his prior hours, wasted on aimless wandering to satiate that itch most called ‘deja vu’.
“ ‘S gotta be a costume... ” A mascot perhaps? The kind of oddity one would typically find swinging signs about in front of some dying restaurant. What wouldn’t he kill for a fat, juicy burger.
God, It’s not true is it? Is it?! Desperately, so badly he wanted to cling to the disbelief that out of everyone; Everyone in his life, no matter how much he cared, tolerated or despised, that he would have even taken the company of some jolly do-gooder over this!! Housed in Apartment 308, tucked away in the cushy Cotes Ward, Cortex’s Brand new home away from home. And he had to share it... With Crash. Crash Bandicoot. His creation. His nemesis. His sworn enemy. Thorn in his side. Constant Interloper. Imbecile. Anything and every sort of insult Cortex could think of for this furry orange marsupial, it couldn’t quell the rage brimming within him, no matter how hard he tried to. It’s got to be a sick joke!! Oh Uka-Uka, If you really are the reason for this whole debacle, Why?!
During his stay here, by sheer willpower, luck, and determination, Cortex had been actively avoiding dealing with Crash. Denying it. But the tell tale signs were everywhere... He’s seen Crash’s shoes at the door before, and proceeded to play it off like they belonged to someone else. He’d caught a whiff of the damp, musty smell of a wet animal in the house as well before. Dismissed it as the trash smelling. And of course the most undeniable, the most damning thing that it could possibly... The one thing that made Neo force his hand. He can’t deny it any longer... “CRASH BANDICOOT!!” He Hollers out his window, glaring daggers at the poor orange creature. “Don’t. move- OW!!” He hisses, but upon pulling his head back inside, the back of his cranium collides into the window pane itself. Ow. All that’s done it further his rage now. Storming out of his room, he beelines to the front door. Cortex knows Crash just came home. He doesn’t care if anyone else is here to deal with the screaming. They can watch the mess that’s about to unfold for all he cares. Cortex just knows one thing for sure. He’s not going to keep denying it. No longer will he cower at the possibility of this, horrible, Horrible outcome. He’s going to try and ‘fix the problem’ himself. With a swift kick, the front door flies open.
“I REFUSE to play a part in this fools game any longer!! I Refuse to constantly deny your existence in this Abaddon!!” Hopping up and down in place, Cortex only continues the temper tantrum with a series of stomping and grunts. “And I refuse to deal with your incessant shedding any further!!! You’ve left the place coated in your rotten, mangy fur!! It’s practically getting all over my clothes!!” A quick dust off. “And in my hair... My eyes... rrrrRRRRGH!!! Why couldn’t you Just STAY BACK HOME?!” Fast as his feet can carry him, he’s hurled himself at Crash in an attempt to tackle him. ...Here we go... Again.

Hatchetfield had been overwhelming, despite being just a little town in the middle of Lake Erie... but this city makes him long for home. He misses the relatively short buildings of downtown gently scrapping the skies, the peaceful isolation of living on the city borders. So far, Spirale has offered no comforts to his fears, and as he tries to replace the supplies lost in the transition, everything catches up to him.
It all strikes him in the streets of the archimedes ward, that painfully tight feeling in his chest that shortens his breath as dread washes over him. Desperately, Henry begins to look around, finding a small, empty alleyway to duck into. Once finally alone, Henry slumps against the wall, head titled upwards. Why is all of this happening. Why now.

“Hey! Finally another familiar face around here! You must’ve just gotten here, huh?” While Spyro was grinning at the marsupial, Sparx was fluttering around Crash with a light excited buzz.

✧*:・゚| HE wants, no, needs to help others, but how possible is it to do such a thing when it feels as if he could hardly help even himself. Siebren is putting himself DOWN, unshakable optimism worn away at last. It was simple enough for him in Fibonacci before the CHANGE took effect, but the city seems to mock him, taking away the FAMILIARITY and replacing it with horror. An impossibility to his eyes, bones shaking as a meteor streaks by before CRASHING into a building he rested in mere hours ago. Eyes wide, blue-grey and crystalized , he floats away, only to bump into — —
❝CRASH! Oh, oh dear, I am so sorry. Here, let me help you to your feet … ❞ he says, scrabbling to help the bandicoot.

This wasn’t the first time that Mr. L had woken up in a strange place, unsure of how he had gotten there, and had been assigned quarters without choice or consultation. His room in Castle Bleck, however, had included plenty of space for building and storing his machines; his new townhouse here did not.
It didn’t stop him. Without the indoor space necessary for his work, Mr. L had simply moved outdoors, commandeering a sprawling area outside the front door to his building in which he could dump his supplies and start tinkering. Both of his old versions of Brobot had been destroyed; he would not let that happen to his latest creation. This Brobot would be stronger than ever, and if he ever got out of this world, he would stomp those heroes until all of his past mistakes paled in comparison to his new successes!
The thought of returning to the Count victorious instead of an embarrassing failure sent him working late into the day. It was only when his hunger pangs got too insistent to ignore that he finally straightened up, surveying the half-built pieces scattered around him with satisfaction, and--
Mr. L jumped back with a start, scowling at the something staring at him from beyond the radius of his work zone. How long had it been watching him?
“Hey!” he called out to the creature, crossing his arms over his chest. “Keep your eyes to yourself, huh? If you’re here to steal my designs, don’t even think about it-- no one could pull off the mechanical wonders of the Green Thunder!”
“...but as long as you’re here, you can toss over that wrench by your foot. The big one. Might as well make yourself useful if you’re just going to gawk at me like that.”
