as a bonus, and because i feel like i should use this game to motivate myself into keeping in the writing flow, here‘s the last sentence i wrote for my other wip (that i eventually really want to actually finish!!). it‘s been a few weeks but have:

Last book: i've just finished "Elbleuchten" by Miriam Georg (i don't think it's been translated into English) and was really positively surprised by it. Bonus: my last five-⭐ read was "The lies of Locke Lamora" by Scott Lynch, which was honestly great and so much fun.

Last series: I've been rewatching New Girl, now in the last season (which is so much worse than all the others), so I've kind of given up and finally started The Bear, which I've only heard good things about, so I'm excited.

Last movie: I honestly barely ever watch movies... something about the format that doesn't work with my attention span. Realistically, it was probably a True Crime doc...

Last song: Johannes Strate's An Rosalinde 🥰

Sweet or salty: I like both but I definitely prefer salty!

Coffee or tea: honestly both, but in a very different way. I drink a lot of tea because I'm really not a big water drinker, so I'll make big pots of tea and drink it cold during the day. As a warm cozy drink or for caffeine though, it's coffee for me (black, no sugar).

Working on: I technically have a few fics, but realistically I'm only currently working on "these purple days" (a choose-your-own-adventure atlas ski fic i'm writing as my winter sports secret santa gift). Take this as my official commital to use my two unexpectedly free periods now to write the next bit :)

It's pitch black out by the time they make it off the set and Lando is so tired that he actually passes the keys when Max holds his hand out for them, even if he grumbles something under his breath that sounds suspiciously like "don't get used to it".

Max just grins and jogs ahead, whole body aching in a good way with the movement. He opens the car and cranks the heat, hopes it'll start blasting warm air through the vents by the time Lando has his shit stowed in the trunk.

When he comes around the side of the car, Max leans over the passenger seat and opens the door from the inside, tugs on the waist of Lando's hoodie for good measure. "Here," he says. "Let's get you warmed up."

Lando scoffs and collapses into the seat, a heap of curls and quadrant branded loungewear with the atrocious posture of a teenage gamer, rather than a professional athlete, sweater paws hugged tight to his chest.

Max chuckles and leaves him to it for the time it takes to adjust his seat and mirrors, turn the engine on. "Come on, Bob," he coaxes. "Seatbelt."

Lando grumbles some more but complies, stretching out in the seat a little. Means Max won't have to tell him to mind his back, which is a happy side effect.

"Hey. Don't fall asleep on me." He's already too late with it, knows it too. They're barely out of the parking garage when Lando's body has sagged against the passenger window, mouth slightly agape, lashes throwing shadows over the cheekbone visible to Max from the corner of his eye. He looks peaceful in the ever changing lights of the city and if Max lets himself smile the entirely too fond smile he knows from chat is reserved for Lando. Well. Nobody's there to see it.

5: what's your favourite piece of furniture and where did you get it?

hmm. so we mostly have ikea furniture (i like it all, but it‘s also not really anything special). last summer we bought a yellow sideboard for the record player and all our records though and it‘s so fun and beautiful!

22: do you have nieces/nephews/godchildren/other kids in your life that aren't yours?

i have a goddaughter who‘s 14 and very much a teenager. i don‘t see her a lot, we don‘t really have a close relationship but apparently (as of christmas) she still thinks i‘m cool so 👌🏻! all of my best friends are currently having babies, so there‘s a 3yo in my life who i adore and regularily see and newly also a 4 month old and there are about to be three more babies added to that this year alone. my husbands friends also have lots of kids who we regularily see. add to that my being a teacher - essentially my life is filled with kids 😅

14: what's a hobby you'd like to get into?

there‘s so many!!! mostly i would love to learn more instruments (viola, trombone, schwyzerörgeli…) and languages (better italian, rumantsch, maybe spanish…). also i would LOVE to do line dancing, i think that‘s so much fun!

20: what's your favourite beverage?

for all day everyday i love a cold sparkling water. more in the realm of treats, i‘m very partial to a diet coke (which is not very easy to get here) or a good glass of red wine.

29: do you have houseplants and how are you at keeping them alive?

i do! i‘m honestly not great with them, but ever since we‘ve moved it‘s randomly become way easier - almost all our houseplants are suddenly thriving, it‘s lovely :)

6: what's your go-to recipe when you want to make something that requires minimal effort?

hmm, so i do an approximation of ramen a lot (chicken bouillon, soy sauce, fish sauce, hot sauce, noodles, an egg, whatever veggies are wilting in the fridge, sometimes dried mushrooms or frozen peas). it‘s quick and really easy and sooo comforting. also a sandwich i learned to make from casey mcquiston‘s novel one last stop that essentially has fried egg, hot sauce and maple syrup, although i sometimes substitute the syrup with honey and add stuff depending on what we have on hand :)

15: do you collect anything?

i don‘t! i mean technically maybe books - but not in any kind of systematic way.

23: what‘s the coolest place you‘ve visited?

oh that‘s such a hard one!! i‘ve been to so many cool places and it takes so little to impress me 😅 i will give a topical answer and say one of the coolest places (event…) was when i fulfilled my ski-girly dream for myself last year and went to see the schladming nightraces - such an iconic slope and setting and the crowd was fun too! AND austrian food.

30: what‘s your living arrangement?

i live with my husband and our cat. we bought my husband‘s childhood home from my inlaws last year, so we‘re in the very priviledged position now to have a whole house to ourselves (and garden!! 🤩) it‘s not a big house but plenty of space for just the two of us and it‘s been sooo nice. we‘re in a residential neighborhood of the small town we both grew up in, quiet but not far from everything we need. it‘s honestly perfect.
