Loving a new client
My husband posted some of my mini- paintings from Snowshoe WV to his social media when we were down there this summer. He sold one right away, then had a second person ask for it soon after. (this is a good, good feeling for an artist)
So Buyer#2 asked for a sunset painting instead, from a photo she had taken.* Then, nope, wait, make it TWO sunset pictures, so she can give one to her best friend. And then Hey, if I repaint the forest picture she liked at first, she’ll take that one as well!
And I had little heart flutters and painted the lovely lady three paintings, two of them sunsets from the mountain-top where they vacation.
Like most other artists, this has been a terrible year for business, with gallery shows and art events being cancelled more often than not. It was really sweet, though, to have someone buy a small collection all at once, and it lifted my spirits.
