It wasn’t often that Vylad had visitors, sans his brother, because not that many people knew where the man stayed. He would appear in town some days when he was needed, speak to no one, and be gone before sundown, no one having a clue where he went. He wasn’t exactly complaining; company was nice, but very tiring and he would much rather prefer to be alone.
However, he didn’t quite recognize the figure that had entered the field from the treeline. Perhaps he had seen them in town, he wasn’t really sure because he tried to avoid the village-goers as much as he could, but they didn’t strike immediate recognition in his mind so he wasn’t quite comfortable with them having discovered his abode.
The rather poorly built cottage sat in the middle of the clearing, obviously the work of someone who had no idea as to what they were doing when they built it, but the garden that surrounded it was perfectly maintained and that’s currently where the shadow knight knelt, standing from his work when he noticed the stranger.
Eyes fixated on the being, he made no move other than straightening, trying to weigh if the person was a threat or not before he made an attempt to interact with them.
