"So the Games look interesting this year." Of course, that wasn't true in Ahk's opinion. It was just the only way to have a conversation at the moment."
Skyrina and Nrenighnx: In a Nutshell (a character relationship study, of sorts)
Whether it was the way the clouds blocked out the sky or the way the king insisted on not letting her train and fight with the soldiers, Skyrina was pissed off. Not only that, but she strongly wished for Bug-Face to come along by so she could 'talk' to him about his stupidity one more time, this time perhaps with less words and more flying fists and broken faces.
She leaned against the wall, watching all of the men training in the yard, when along came Nrenighnx, his sword still sheathed as he wasn't going to spar just yet. The king, and Skyrina's primary agitator, stopped near 3 feet in front of her, which would take her a mere 6 strides to close. Her simple gaze turned to a glare when she saw him smirk at her.
One.
She took a step forward, "Bug-Face! Instead of smirking like the smug bastard you are, why don't you come fight me? Or better yet, race me! Either way, you have no chance of winning."
Two.
He spun on his heel and closed the gap between them, his face mere centimeters from hers. He raised himself up, keeping his back straight and his eyes fixated on her, "I'm sorry, did you say something Sky? I couldn't hear you from all the way over there. Your voice is much too quiet. How do you ever shout orders to your lackeys when you cheat in those races of yours?"
Three.
Sky's fists clenched at her sides. Despite attempts to make herself taller, she stood a full half inch shorter than him. She raised herself to slightly above his level with a flutter of her wings. Her eyes never left his. She glared harder, without even trying. "I'm not a cheater. And my voice is not quiet. Let me train and fight with your men. If your brother can be a chef, then by the Stars, I can be a soldier."
Four.
"Women don't make good soldiers. Especially not you. You couldn't even master basic magycks. What makes you think I would trust you with a sword?"
Five.
"I'm a better swordsman than even you, and you know it. My father taught me."
Six.
"Oh, did he?"
Seven.
"Yes. He did."
Eight.
Nrenighnx placed a hand on the hilt of his sword, "You can't be a soldier. Sorry, Skyrina."
Nine.
She dropped back to the ground, nails digging into the skin of her palm. She took a step forward, their faces now only millimeters apart. He growled.
Ten.
Nrenighnx lay on the ground, purple blood dripping from his lip. Sky spat at him, then turned and stomped off into the castle to find Claudina. The king slowly stood, shaking off the dizziness from the blow he'd just suffered to his jaw. He turned back to his soldiers, who had crowded around, and he barked an order. Training commenced.

"Why are you talking to me? You realize I hate people, right? And you're a person, so I suggest you leave. Thanks!"
