who makes him happy?

A matter of what may be a question better suited to Jihan, rather than who. He doesn’t have many connections, preferring to keep acquaintances and canine companions. That isn’t to say that Jihan doesn’t WANT to be happy as a result of being around people, he just struggles. If he were to choose, his grandparents would be significant on this list. Now old and frail, he fears for them. 

Jihan would also seek the comfort that @wyahnjong provides, their friendship is a strange one, but built upon shared interests and a quiet companionship of where nothing is expected, and silences didn’t need to be filled with nonsensical chatter. He has a deep respect for Ahnjong.

The warmth and and scents that he associates with @wychaeyeong also makes Jihan happy, she doesn’t ask much of him, and seems concerned with his welfare. Chaeyeong confuses him, as much like a shadow, she always seems to be near. He is coming to accept her companionship, eyes seeking her for he had become used to the routine she provides. Greedy, even. However, he remains perplexed, but believes that he may also have a friend in the baker.

Minah barely has time for herself, making it almost impossible for her to have time to walk her dogs. She happens to hire Ahnjong to take the two dogs for a walk thrice a week when he has free time. She often felt bad that she only pays him so there have been instances when she gives him some food to take home with him. She began to pack two lunch boxes on certain days when Ahnjong would drop her dogs back home. The doorbell rings and she knew it was Ahnjong and the dogs, back from the morning walk. Jinoh was eating a meal while Minah finished packing the lunch boxes. She heads over to the front door, smiling widely when she sees Ahnjong. 

“Hi!” She greets him, opening the door wider for the dogs to come in. This was the usual set up. He takes the dogs out for a walk, brings them back and then he leaves after a small chat, but today, she wanted to invite him inside. “Jinoh is eating, you should come in and eat before you leave. I'm taking him to the daycare in an hour so I can drop you off along the way if you'd like.” 

Not wanting him to leave without having a meal, Minah grabs his arm and gently pulls him inside the luxurious apartment. It is too big for two people to live in, quite honestly, but it gives the dogs and Jinoh a lot of room to run around and do as they like. “Jinoh, we have a guest. Say hello, sweetheart!” The boy stays seated on the chair, holding his spoon and with his cheeks full, he simply waves his hand at Ahnjong with an eye smile.

The first time Ahreum laid eyes on this man, she wanted to have him like a trophy to place on her shelf. A face to brag on her social media to make sure there were articles written all about her. Who would resist Bae Ahreum, right? A big star, a pretty face, a hot body and a woman who knows what she wants. But Ahnjong continues to play hard to get, according to her vocabulary that is. He had made her aware that his affections lie elsewhere, but the more he resists her, the more she wants him. Considering him as nothing but a challenge on her part. 

Most guys would've given in after a while, but this has been going on for weeks. Weeks! Now that she was done with her project, she tells herself it was time for the big catch. 

“Come on, Ahnjong. Play with me.” Ahreum pouts cutely at the male whose eyes doesn't leave the pages of his book. “Why do you keep rejecting me? I just want to hang out.” But they both know she wants more than that. She never hid her intentions. He barely looked her way but she was sure he can hear every single thing she says. “Fine. I'm staying here till you give me attention.” 

The coffee shop barely had customers that early in a fine Saturday morning, which made it easier for her to act the way she does. Again, he remains distant and uninterested. Ahreum groans, resting her head on the table. “Did I ever do anything wrong for you to treat me like this?”
