Working, Working, ... What was I doing again?
The bad thing with writing a blog hours after you've finished the activity you're blogging about is that you lose the passion for whatever it is you're writing about. Unless that something is still staring you straight in the face. As mine happens to be. Like I'm trying to work and Aaron is rolling around.
This morning I woke up and, I'll admit, was pretty excited. I like Cardio X. Cardio X and Kenpo X are fun. They've become my relaxed days of working out. I'm not sure how that happened, but somehow, they make 5 a.m. a party. That's just sick to read out loud, so I'm not going to linger on that sentence too longer.
But then my computer wouldn't start, so in the middle of working out I was trying to tweet that I was working out. And then in the middle of the first set of exercises Aaron woke up, so I had to get him situated. And finally I just started the whole thing over. Because that's what you have to do to get into the BEST SHAPE OF YOUR LIFE.
Or that's what I should have done. What I really did was start the exercises over. I didn't start the stretching or warm up over. Because I'm dedicated but I also have to get him ready, me ready, get to work, and today, I had to get home and wait for the refrigerator repair man, who may be here between 2 and 5 but will probably be here around 6. I also need some clothes for me instead of Aaron and somewhere in there I have to make it to the grocery store so we can grill dinner because a broken refrigerator means nothing that isn't filled with preservatives in the house. Which means I really should rethink the baby food I give my son. Ick. Organic or not.
And that was my work out. After the initial focusing issues I did get into it and dig deep. Down to Superman ... Banana (ouch, Aaron just BIT my toe. WHAT?? yeah, that's right. 8 months old do the weirdest things).
Sweaty and Tough and ... I could have concentrated harder. But that's me. What do you do to make sure you stay on task?
