A Damn Fine Rescue

It had been a long day. Longer than she would have liked, Lilith wasn’t going anywhere soon and Hyperion knew that. She was being held on hold for their leader to get the time to actually give a care about the small settled bases on Pandora, she was lucky it wasn’t Opportunity then the fiery siren would have been in Jack’s grasp by now. Her breathing was soft and calm, surprising for the situation she was in. Her memory only served in flashes of how exactly it had happened. Lilith could remember her main objective, it was urgent and she couldn’t wait until morning or night, she had to be stubborn and do it soon. The Firehawk had been meaning to get a new power core for Sanctuary, when she had learned of a location she was quick to get it. Lilith tried her hardest not to be seen, but she wasn’t know for her stealth. It was a bad idea from the start, she knew but if she had told someone they would disagree and the power core would be lost.
Backing out was never fun and she wasn’t used to the silence There was always something that would draw her attention, always something for Lilith to do then just sit there like a duck in hunting season. Thinking back brought a sharp pain to her knee and the the back of her head, how long was she out? Lilith had wondered for sometime, probably for a couple of hours for when she had left the sun was high and now it was starting to get bright outside again, morning. The humming hit her ears before she knew the collar was around her throat. Memories stabbed her heart and she could feel her heart sink, Lilith loathed being her she hated it and wanted to leave, but how she was trapped like a caged animal, no where to go and no where to hide. A soft and gentle sigh left her lips. “Why did I do this?” She wasn’t being smart by just running out and telling not a damn soul nothing, she hoped maybe a citizen had saw her or Salvador who could have been coming back from that mission she willed him to finish. Whatever the case it was over now, all she could do now was wait. But for how long?
