i feel like it’s no secret that i want an au (or just canon divergence lmao) where arthur does lift uther’s ban on magic --- and, you know, ideally, puts in place laws to protect the rights of magic users, though idk if that would be something he’d automatically consider? at least maybe not from the outset --- not only because #fuckcanon (& the writers doing approximately zero character work with anyone in the later seasons) but also because i feel like the implications/details with regards to the civil war plotline could be way more interesting than they actually were in canon
