You thanked him for the night and the flowers and he simply nods with ' 'yeah its not a big deal, didn't want any other loser in the class doing it wrong' and then 'how he was the only real man in the class and how everyone else would've fumbled'
After you part ways he can't sleep, your smile, you in that dress, dancing, the way you looked like a kid when you received the flowers
He'll be grumpy with himself blaming it on anything but you, shuffling to get a glass of water in the dark
