That fear is valid, but like you’ve said, you’ve been at this for years and have tons of loyal readers who are still ridiculously eager for more of your stuff. It’s okay to be anxious and have a few rough days as long as you remember that doesn’t reflect on your ability as a writer and value to those in and out of the fandom.

Popping in here, cause this Anon is pissing me off. Y'know, you can disagree with the posts--that she has explicitly stated are what she's NOTICED and are not meant for 'dissing' other writers--and hell, you can even debate about it. There are ways to do so CIVILLY (you haven't). But manipulating and validating words of verbal/emotional abuse is fucking disgusting. You have no right to that. You went scrolling for ammo. Riv, you're lovely and talented and so so kind. Anon, you can fuck off.

Honestly, that anon was pissing me off too (idk if it was more than one, because two were more about the posts/me “attacking” people and the other was about my mom???). They took it to my FF account and left nasty reviews on Incandescent and Berserk and ??? What the fuck???

Honestly though, you can’t even really disagree with those posts. I have read all of those in fics. It’s not really debatable lol I mean, someone could argue that there are fics that start out with those characters and expand on them, or ones that are a mix between several, but... yeah.

There was a very polite anon the other day that I explained everything to. That’ the proper way to do things.
