I met a new tumblr friend today at Bestbuy! They helped me buy my new computer (which I won't be able to use until Christmas because it was a present, but that's okay) and they were super nice. They are also extremely talented and do great comic and concept art! Everyone should go follow them right now - Oli-Andsler.tumblr.com
So one time back in 2010-2011 my two math teachers got together and made a song about the quadratic formula.
OK I could use some serious (art/businness) Advice!
Someone claiming to be a published comic book writer found my email on my deviantart page and and emailed me wondering if I would like to collaborate with him for a comic proposal to be submitted to Image Comics. It seemed to me he really did look at my dA gallery because the comic focuses on a cast of house hold pets. I searched his name and found a LinkedIn profile with his name with title "Writing and Editing Professional", and the profile was also part of a group called "comics".
I replied to his email telling him I liked his story idea and was interested in his offer, but I wasn't sure if I would have time - so I asked him to link me to a few of the published comics he's written.
He replied very quickly (I replied last night and saw his response early this morning) and linked to his facebook, a comic with his name on amazon, and an article on pulpmachine blogspot - all with his name as writer and editor and with comic page images. (If anyone wants to see the links just ask).
The deal is that we would make 8 pages to be submitted for the proposal and own everything fifty-fifty. I need to read the Image Comic submission guide lines thoroughly, I just skimmed, but what do you guys think?
SHOULD I DO IT?
EVERYONE go look at this wonderful animation of my character E.Bee that Earldense on Deviantart made for me! It was a total surprise (though I did see it first when it was half done). Go give her love and favorites and comments if you have a dA account!
