Born in the middle of a handful of siblings, Saadet learned early on that her time was not best spent trying to fight for a chance to be seen or heard amongst her siblings, but rather to cultivate her influence through manipulation and information. She didn’t win arguments by screaming the loudest, but rather sought her petty revenge in more creative ways. It was a niche she grew into as a curling vine up a wall, flowering eventually on her own terms rather than those assumed.
What she lacked when it came to any sort of self-defense training, be it fighting or with a gun, Saadet made up for in other ways. She studied International Relations and Political Science at Koç University in Istanbul and spent much of her time developing her skills in several languages in order to become an information-side asset to her family’s business as they grew it both in Miami as well as abroad.
While she understood supply lines and the physical logistics of the Demirci business, a position at the Turkish Consulate in Miami as a translator gave her access to information that could be gleaned nowhere else. A multitude of languages both spoken and written meant she could simply overhear things others might assume she was incapable of understanding.
For the most part, her life has been relatively unremarkable. Flying under the radar meant no arranged marriages, arrests, or weak moments captured by tabloid outlets. She is the quiet, sometimes forgotten child among the Demirci, and while sometimes that position chafes, for the most part it is a fact of life used as an advantage. To be forgotten and underestimated is nothing more than a tool in her arsenal.
HEADCANONS
Of all her siblings, Saadet is the most well-traveled, having spent a lot of time in countries across the globe for professional and personal reasons. Among her most-used languages are English, Turkish, and Spanish, but she’s learned and continues to learn a multitude as they become useful.
Her current permanent residence is a corner condo on the Upper East Side, relatively modest given her family’s affluence, but more than enough for herself and her cat, Inci.
As of July 2026, Saadet has been in New York for several months as an advance-intelligence liaison alongside Mattia. A transfer from the Turkish Consulate in Miami to the one in New York allowed her to make the move quietly while her family splashed enormous amounts of money to buy up highly-sought-after real estate.
Wildly introverted, Saadet loathes attending large events but does so at the behest of her family, to whom she holds a considerable amount of love and loyalty. In another life she might have enjoyed being a librarian or doing something with computer science, but this one requires something with a little more political power.
