"We have some pretty great specials today." Minnie was sat outside of her dispensary at a table she set up with some free samples and food from a restaurant nearby that her friend owned. "We also have free food if that's enticing at all." She was in the middle of rolling a joint and finished sealing it before she stuck the filter end behind her ear as she looked at the person who had started to linger near the shop. "You can window shop if you want, nothing is binding. At the very least, you gotta try this," she said and pointed at the empandas on the table. "They're not edibles. Scout's honor," she said and held up her hand.

       after  lots  of  late  night  research,  customization,  and  adding  to  cart,  samuel  had  hesitated  on  selecting  the  buy  now  button.  some  instinct,  a  voice  he  knew  to  trust  and  never  ignore,  had  told  him  to  wait  and  continue  to  shop  around.  the  delivery  on  his  order  would  take  weeks  anyway,  and  he  supposed  that  was  fair  for  what  he  was  purchasing.  it  did  little  to  quell  the  need  for  instant  gratification  and  the  ability  to  ride  his  new  bike  around  immediately.  so,  on  his  way  to  grab  some  coffee  as  some  fuel  for  much  needed  errands  around  the  city,  sam  approached  a  community  board  to  see  if  anyone  had  posted  a  vintage  bicycle  for  sale.  it  was  a  long  shot,  he  knew  that.  “wow…  there's  a  lot  of  missing  cats  around  here.”  there  was  some  astonishment  in  his  tone  as  his  gaze  moved  over  all  the  postings.  “if  nothing  else  that  might  be  something  to  look  into.”

The business of charity has always been low hanging fruit in Esra's opinion. An easy opening to bolster some starlet's failing reputation or add a quick jolt of relevancy when a beloved figure inevitably fell out of the public eye. Her attendance tonight was not only expected on behalf of her myriad of clients, but rather commonplace and redundant. She'd seen the inside of almost every exclusive gala and ballroom in Manhattan, yet seemingly none compared to this venue in terms of opulence and detail. The way the glasshouse refracted light, not a speck of lint on the red velvet, and she was fairly certain the passing champagne tray held proper tulip glasses instead of flutes. Unfortunately, from experience, most things that appeared too good to be true often were.

"Odds on how quickly one of these guests will ruin the Kline family's hospitality for everyone?" She plucked a drink as it coasted by without missing a beat. "I give it two hours until they decide to close Robins Island for another thirty years."

francis had decided medieval times was a bit too advanced for romy so he decided to go through his contacts and pick at random who would be up for the adventure. usually he had a plan but he felt like something spontaneous was needed like hot jousting men to keep his mind off the chaos that was new york city.

" we're here , " the man said with a huge grin as he pulled into the parking lot and found a spot easily. " listen -- if we hurry i'll buy you the light up sword. "

"You ever wonder what it would be like to rollerblade through a place like this when it's empty?" A marine August toured with before she got hurt had a list of place frankly disturbing in length that he wanted to rollerblade through before he died. St. Peter's, Versailles, the Forbidden City... Now every time August saw a large hall, that was the first thing that crossed her mind. She turned, expecting to see her date only to be met with someone decidedly not. Her eyebrows shot up briefly, but she masked the rest of the surprise by bringing the flute of champagne to her lips. "Well? Are we finding rollerblades? Do you think Imani would beat my ass?"

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." He had offered the advice to the person in line at the street vendor, clearly waiting for coffee. Or whatever it was, but having had gone through his share of street vendors, Leon had learned what worked best, what wasn't the best, and what could only be approached if one wanted to gamble with their stomach's health. "No shade to the guy there, but the coffee, tea, and whatever else you might be considering getting are awful. Terrible, to put it mildly. You'd be better off drinking from the puddles here." Perhaps he was being a little too literal, and it was obvious by the glare from the street vendor, but Leon didn't care. If he couldn't do that much saving as a detective, then he would do some as a citizen of this unique city. "If you're willing to walk, there's a far better vendor just a couple blocks over there."

"Get up." Maeve nudged the other with her foot, gracefully balancing a cup of coffee in her hands. It had been a long night, and even if she was starting to regret letting them crash at her place, it was still better than letting them stay on their own. At least, as far as she was concerned - after all, she could be kind and helpful once a year or so. Besides, she wasn't willing to admit that she was far too welcoming when she had a little too much to drink, so it was a blessing that she didn't invite them into her bed, instead opting for the awfully comfortable couch.

"I'm not about to run a five star hotel for you. But if you get up in the next five seconds, I might just be gracious enough with a cup of coffee."
