Ryan could feel the guilt settling low in her stomach with every step. All morning she’d been hitting the streets and pounding the pavement to try and figure out a solution that wasn’t this but ultimately....her mind had drifting back to this answer every single time. She’d made a big step moving to the states to advance her soccer career and now she was jeopardising it. She’d worked her way up through the training squad, been put on the bench for a friendly game and been carded two minutes into her substitution for backlash to the referee.
She was was sure it had been a fair tackle but apparently....and she’d been cautioned. No one will take an angry rookie, the words rang in her mind again and again. Until she thought of her. How many fights had Leo coaxed her down from on the pitch at university? Too many. How many times had Ryan reminded Leo of her putting her foot down and banning her from a game? But now...Ryan didn’t know where else to turn. Even knocking made her stomach flip. So when the door opened, it nearly fell out of her shorts.
“Leo...” Her deep eyes bore into the beautiful woman before her. Her smile was...tentative. Almost bashful. She knew she had no right to be here. After all the fucks up she’d made before. The way she’d put Leo in a dangerous position. The way she’d played her. And when Leo had left....Ryan had been heartbroken. “I need your help...” She swallowed hard. “And I don’t know who else to turn to...” @unsctisfied
