NI is about to release the new version of their popular Kontrol x1. The Mk2 is totally redesigned with a new touchstrip for digital djing and RGB triggers that also indicate some Remix Deck potential in this controller. Should be out in a few weeks at 199$.

Disclosure “Unplugged”
So a lot of people were outraged by Disclosure’s appearance at mini-festival Summertime Ball when they were the backround djs of a singer with an unplugged dj setup. Its sad that a lot of people are not intelligent enough to understand thats its pure marketing and that they didnt actually fake deejaying. I understand they could have played the songs form their setup but in large productions like this, they arent going to wire another setup to play 3 songs…here is what Disclosure had to say about it:

ERICK MORILLO TAKES A “BREAK TO FOCUS ON HEALTH” AFTER “ERRATIC BEHAVIOUR”
Erick Morillo had to be escorted off the stage just 45 minutes into a set last Saturday night, reportedly due to “erratic behaviour.”
Morillo already looked out of it when he took to the decks, and his condition only worsened once his set began.Then, at one point he vanished from the crowd’s view completely, leaving the audience at the Ocean Club in Quincy, Massachusetts hanging as a single loop started playing over and over again. It was at that point that his set was cancelled and security removed him and his manager from the venue. In the wake of the event, Morillo took to his Twitter to announce he’s going to lay low for a while.
