watching anna and lilly run around on the soccer field, she was happy their kids were out and about. active and loving the same sport she did, lilly even scored a goal earlier. she is however, a little less happy about the weather. after playing soccer herself for so many years, one would think she was a little better about it. or at least knew how to dress herself, and not just the kids before going to a game. but her raincoat was hanging in the dry hallway at home, and an umbrella . . . did they even own one ? if they didn't, they should definitely get one. or two. there is a small sound as hand curl around her biceps, pulling her and suddenly the rain isn't hitting her anymore. a little bit of relief, looking over at kim, and she really can't help the kinda sheepish smile. maybe she didn't know her in college, or generally earlier in life, but even as a mom she never really got everything worked out. she didn't have all her ducks in a row. they were kinda scattered, all over the place and without direction. " thanks, " it's a low murmur, shoulder lightly bump against hers before eyes drift back to the kids on the field. " i didn't think it was gonna get this bad today. hopefully they won't be coming down with a cold after the match, "
