music monday: xposure 2012
welcome to our first music monday. we all know mondays can be, lets say, hard to get through sometimes. and it's like no matter how much sleep you get on the weekend, monday morning is always a struggle.
BAM!!!
problem solved. a place you can come to and find some new music to help perk yourself up in the morning (along with the cold shower and triple shot latte).
so for our first music monday, i've been meaning to get out the news (if you haven't already heard) about X92.9's xposure 2012 contest. what i like about this contest is it not only showcases local talent, all the proceeds go to charity, it's really win win. you can find more details on the contest here, but the premise of it was to find local bands to feature on this summers xposure cd that can be purchased at Mac's convenient stores and on itunes. the top 3 bands chosen have won $25,000 and will play at the xposure wrap up party. local artists also had the opportunity to design the album cover and win $2,500. so needless to say it's pretty cool how much local talent is in our city!

DOUBLE FUZZ we are crazy about these guys, total crush. they have been compared to the likes of the black keys, but we must say their sound is a little more raw and dirty (what girl doesn't like that)
ROCKETS and DINOSAURS haven't heard much from these guys so if you have any recommendations let us know!
THE SUPPLIERS also haven't heard of the suppliers, but definitely up for some new itunes purchases, any recommendations?
