Finally made a ref for Sam. Bio under the cut! (tw for mentions of abuse)

Bio: Sam is a university student with a talent for sensing the paranormal. They didn't have a great childhood; they and their younger sister lived with a neglectful father, so Sam ended up being the one to raise their sister. They became very depressed at a young age, which is what caused the shadow demon Xaelith to stick around, feeding off the negative emotions.

Since Xaelith fed off of Sam for years, they started to be able to sense her presence. As Sam got into their older teens, Xaelith didn't really care to hide and began openly tormenting and physically abusing them to get more "food". They couldn't turn to anybody (including their family) for help, Sam had a history of mental illness, so no one would believe them, except for their best friend, who offered to help get rid of Xaelith; who eventually killed him. Sam never found out what happened, but was distraught by the disappearance of their friend nonetheless.

With grief eating away at them, they resolved to kill Xaelith once and for all. They tried the traditional methods, but nothing seemed to work, so they tried something new. They waited until the house she haunted, the house that Sam grew up in, was empty; soaked everything in gasoline, and burned it down. They heard Xaelith's screams and felt her presence die. They were finally free, and Xaelith was finally dead. (or so they thought 😈)

At this point, Sam was able to move out and their sister went to live with their mom. They entered university, and have been chilling and wrecking havoc ever since!!
