I’ve always had a particular soft spot for Osun stuff in this game. There’s something I just love about the architecture and design of all the Osun-themed areas in the game. The race itself is pretty cool too, and anyone who knows me well knows how excited I was to finally get my hands on Osun armor for Xallius.
This is all from Kel Voreth in Auroria (I might be getting my spelling wrong), probably the biggest Osun zone outside of Arcterra. I love the huge, wrought-iron structures all in disarray, suggesting they used to be even more impressive before the Eldan smacked them down a few pegs.
Xallius’ home was just called “Domicile 3852″ or something for a very long time. I figured it fit him perfectly; the house didn’t need a fancy name, it was just a house, and that was its serial number. It started off small, and I don’t know if I have any screenshots of when I was first getting the hang of housing, but every little thing I added made me feel like I was getting pretty good at building. Xal’s first house had a little lab/office, a couple of tables and chairs, and even a second floor! Up there was a bed and another lab, I think? It’s been a while.
Lorelei eventually moved into Xallius’ house, so extra things like a kitchen and and smaller chairs were added, but eventually, I had enough to buy Xal a big house. Bit by bit, it came together, and both the inside and outside of the house began to change. The sky was a permanent sunset with Farside’s Reaching track. Huge trees created a canopy that provided a sense of comfort and closeness. Inside the house, you could clearly find the influence of both Xallius and Lorelei, with both tech and traditional Dominion decor alongside Draken themed pieces.
Eventually, I decided that the house needed a name change. This time, I wanted something a little more poetic, maybe something that wasn’t a literal name, or maybe something that Lorelei helped with. I thought back on Xallius’ story so far, and where he had come to, and finally decided on a short but sweet name: A Second Chance. Because that’s what this home, what Lorelei, and what Nexus were for him.
There’s a bit more to this house, so more screencaps under the cut! If you’d like to see it yourself, Xallius Novitreus will have a public plot until the game shuts down.
The other side of Xal’s office has the Palaver Point portal on it. I couldn’t really find anywhere else to fit it.
Above the stairs is a small storage cranny, along with a number of trophies, presumably all Lorelei’s.
This is the main hallway to the second floor (third floor?), lines with more trophies and decorations.
The bedroom, where all the magic happens. Maybe more of a bed nook, and not a room? It doesn’t even have a door, after all...
I was really proud of this kitchen setup. It looks legit, right? The hanging stuff on the marauder fence was just *chef kiss noise*.
And this is how you know Lorelei helped decorate the place.
Ooh, I was proud of this bathroom too. The flexibility afforded by the housing system in Wildstar is really something that will never ever be matched again.
And finally, a little attic-type space for Xallius and Lorelei to relax in. A big couch, a TV, and lots of booze. What more could you want?
