Xanthoconite for @itsthatguyethan
@popcorn-obsessed-gem
I present to you, Fire Agate!! Fusion of Xanthoconite and Spiny Oyster ^^ I don't know why but I love how this turned out too much x3 <3
Some examples of my gem, Xanthoconite.
He’s taking after his Zelda oc form as a lil escape artist.<3 He has the same speed, agility, and flexibility as before, only now he can blend into his surroundings. If you look hard enough, you can see him, he’s not like...... invisible xD Whenever he moves it gives him away.:V (also you can see his gem and eyes when they’re open so)
ye. enjoy the Xantho :0
@fallengemonyx (here’s the doodles I mentioned)
Meet Xanthoconite
New Gem oc? No, I just picked an old oc and designed what they'd look like as a gem. It's Zach, my 6 old Zelda OC.xD I saw a post that mentioned turning an old oc into a gem design and I wanted to do it.:0 Enjoy~
A couple of gems from today. Backed up adoptables, man I’m sorry 8w8 I’m happy with these though. The distance model is for Xanthoconite who was adopted by someone on DA who then also commissioned a Pink Kunzite Snow leopard! I love making animals in the style of SU, its a shame they aren’t more popular. uwu Bonus image
I'm working on a new gemsona and am having a lot of trouble finding out about the stone I chose. I've decided on Xanthconite, but only seem to find information on the scientific elements of it. Could you maybe give me any help?
Sadly, I too can’t find much about this gem. I found some pictures of it, and the scientific elements of it as well.
However, we can use those elements and factors about it to give us some ideas! According to Wikipedia, this gem is red-orange or Lemon Yellow colored. Depending on what variation of thisgem you want to use, you can use some of the meanings and explanation of metaphysical properties of gems based solely on its colours; here are some for yellow, orange and red! If you want to base it on colours, here’s another site for you that might help!
Another tip I found is that Xanthoconite is a sulfosalt mineral. Maybe you could look up information about gems in the same category and see what works for you or gives you ideas to use! Proustite, Seligmannite, Bournonite and Routhierite are all sulfosalt minerals, and I’m pretty sure most of these have information on metaphysical properties! (I didn’t look it up that much, but I’m pretty sure I saw there was for some of these)
Xanthoconite’s hardness in moss scale is 2.5-3.0 which, if I understand correctly, is not much. Perhaps your gem does not have that much gets tired easily/needs to regenerate often/etc?
Its luster, however, is classified as “Adamantine”, which is the same kind a diamond has! So they’re pretty resistant during battle, or perhaps strong (physically or mentally!).
Hope this gives you some ideas! If you need help with anything else, just let us know!

Xanthoconite
Xanthoconite is found as a rare mineral in several of the mines where Proustite is found. It generally forms in the same deposits as Proustite, and may even form together with it in a single matrix. In addition to their differences in crystal symmetry, Xanthoconite usually has a more orange color than Proustite.
