Xanthos’ operator files clarify that the reason he is wearing his mask is because he got faciaI burn scars from artiIIery fire during the time he was involved in gueriIIa fights against Sargon. Arknights gave us another cool design of an operator in armor, but at what price.

No wonder Xanthos’ voice lines make it clear he suffers from PTSD. The battles might be over, but the sound of his Sargonian enemies still haunt him into his dreams. His PTSD nightmares make him sensitive to sudden noise.
