Came back from a shitty appointment (got told I wouldn’t be able to start T with that clinic) and was greeted by these two very pretty bugs. Made me feel a bit better :)

Bug of the Day
Found this Xanthotype sp. hiding under the sheet last night.
Bug of the Day
Always beautiful and nearly-always-unidentifiable-to-species Xanthotype moth, from the blacklighting we did at Mt. Toby last month.
Found this moth sitting on my chain link fence last night, slowly opening and closing its wings. I'm thinking it might have just emerged from its pupa. This is genus Xanthotype, unfortunately you can't get to species on this genus of lovely golden yellow and brown moths without genital dissection.
