God Xavier is awful. I hate Xavier so much. He put Amanda in needle pit. Mean to her. Fuck that guy.
For Xavier, I picked a Komodo Dragon!
I thought it would fit for him bc in saw 2 when he’s hunting the other victims in the nerve gas house reminded me of how Komodos hunt their prey, by biting them and following them until they collapse from blood loss due to a declotting agent in their saliva.
I was also influenced a lot by his quote which I included on his page, “it’s just me and that’s how I like it”, because while komodos do group up on occasion to take down large prey it’s still every man for himself rather than actual cooperation.
Komodos are also so cannibalistic that they’ve evolved to live in trees as youngsters so the adults don’t eat them. It’s a similar case for most reptiles but Komodos especially.
I believe in canon that John lied about the nerve gas, although it’s not confirmed. I believe he actually poisoned everyone EXCEPT Amanda and Daniel, because those two are the only ones that never show symptoms for the supposed gas, not even bloody noses; this would also explain why they had to fight for an antidote to inject into their blood. Even jonas in the film points out that gas inhalation can’t magically be cured by an antidote, so I feel the nerve gas was a lie.
In this au all participants would’ve been injected with XAVIERS saliva, except Amanda, Daniel and Xavier himself, who’s immune to his own venom. Xavier would be injected with a different poison, while Daniel and Amanda would still be completely fine. Xavier’s antidote would be behind the door that he’s to unlock in the needle pit scene, since he throws Amanda in and causes himself to fail; he’d be screwed. Even if he escaped the house, killed amanda and daniel, he’d still succumb to his own poison.
Amanda knows his predicament after the door locks and she attempts to drag out the time he spends chasing them so he weakens more.
