Benjy/Sirius!!
Send me a ship and I’ll tell you:
Who said “I love you” first: Sirius. It was blurted without intent or thought, and he wanted so badly to snatch the words from the air and tuck them back away. But he couldn’t, so he left, ran - fearful that those stupid words would ruin his oldest friendship and make Benjy never want to talk to him again.
Who would have the other’s picture as their phone background: Both. They’re ridiculously silly and hardly ever serious (lmao) pictures, taken in moments of levity and childish goofing around. But it’s nice to glance down and see that sort of comfortable, easy happiness, especially on bad days.
Who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror: Benjy. They’re cute little messages or reminders of things to do that day - get bread from the market please - before he heads to work. Sirius is always grateful, especially when there are days where he has no direction or reason to leave the flat.
Who buys the other cheesy gifts: Sirius. Always thoughtful, he delights in bringing home small trinkets and presents as he finds them. They’re not always cheesy, but they are inside jokes or odd things he knows will make Benjy smile.
Who initiated the first kiss: Sirius. He was drunk and it seemed a good idea to finally confront Benjy about those stupid words he’d let slip. But anything he might have thought to say slipped his mind when he stood before him, and instead he leaned in to press his lips to Benjy’s. Because that is a much better idea, isn’t it?
Who kisses the other awake in the morning: Sirius. His nights are restless and short, sleep hard to come by and hold onto. But Benjy needs to rest, so he waits when sleep eludes him. He welcomes the first light of morning with wide grins and kisses spattered over Benjy’s cheeks, forehead, nose, jaw, neck, shoulders.
Who starts tickle fights: Benjy. He’s found it’s one of the simplest ways to help dissipate Sirius’ surly mood when he’s had a day. Sirius is too ticklish for his own good, after all, and he can’t help but laugh and let the stress and bad vibes roll right off of him.
Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower: Both. It can be fun and sexy, yes, but oftentimes one of them will join the other simply to be close, for the comfort that comes with the intimacy and vulnerability. It’s easier, some days, to embrace beneath the cascade of warm water rather than talk about whatever they might have seen.
Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch: Sirius. He’s passing by, maybe, or wants to spend a few extra minutes together when they work opposite schedules. It’s always shitty takeout or poorly-made sandwiches, as that’s about all Sirius thinks to make for lunch.
Who was nervous and shy on the first date: Sirius. It felt different than other dates had - they had been friends forever, and that was potentially at stake. But it didn’t last long. It all clicked into place, and Sirius wondered why they hadn’t done this sooner.
Who kills/takes out the spiders: Benjy. Sirius will adamantly deny it, but he is terrified of spiders. One time Benjy comes home and Sirius is huddled atop a chair, boot in hand, eyes wide, obscenities uttered with each breath. His magic was forgotten once the tiny creature had scurried down the wall, and he doesn’t know where it went. Sirius remains atop the chair until Benjy finds and removes the thing.
Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk: Sirius. He is loud proclamations when sober, and even louder ones when drunk. He loves, and loves loudly, unabashed and wanting everyone to know.
