We Happy Few to get Sandbox Mode and Season Pass

Despite releasing in early access and the Xbox Game Preview Program back in 2016, We Happy Few is only now approaching retail. The drug fueled dystopian action adventure title will hit Xbox One, PS4 and PC later this week and, just in time, the fine folks over at Compulsion Games have laid out their post release plans for the game. Let’s see what sort of joy awaits us!

First up, Sandbox Mode. This free update will give players and infinite mode that they can customize to their liking. You'll be able to make the world big, small, dangerous or not and more. The developers say the mode will be similar to how the game was showcased early on in development.

As far as the Season Pass is concerned, you'll be looking at three different stories set in Wellington Wells. Roger & James in: They Came From Below!, Lightbearer and We All Fall Down look to give players a decent amount of variety within the world. You'll be able to uncover new technology, and new threats. Learn more about the people of Wellington including rockstar citizen Nick Lightbearer thanks to Uncle Jack's late night show. You might even learn more about Wellington Wells itself as you dig up dirt from the past...if that's the sort of thing a happy person does.

It’s been a long road to launch, but Compulsion Games only has a few more days before they unleash their finished product on the world. We Happy Few launches August 10th on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PCs. While the game has allegedly been “content complete” since the beginning of the year, we hop the last eight months of polish will leave us all feeling...joyful.
