“so i tried to make food, but it’s just going under the list of things that lucas can’t do,” he says, rubbing the back of his neck with a small chuckle, as he looks down at the burnt pizza before them. he had been trying to be a better boyfriend lately -- it was hard, because some days his triggers would just shut him down, it was like he sometimes forgot how to live and be present, but with the turning of a new year it was one of his resolutions to be better to the people that he cared about. “so, um, takeout?”
@xbrokenveinsx
jess had come in late, he had gone drinking with a few “friends” though it was more people that he worked out at the gym with, it wasn’t really a hangout more a few of them getting drunk and jess didn’t really want to have to deal with the aftermath of that. he had bounced early, he was a little buzzed driving home but that was something of a regular occurrence for the boy now, he just needed something to dull whatever it was that he was feeling lately. opening the door to his apartment he hadn’t imagined that he’d see such a familiar face since she had been gone for what felt like -- years. even though it wasn’t even that. “you came back,”
JOSIE
“Oh my god, I’m going to kill her,” Was all Josie could say when the woman at her door spoke about wanting company. Josie had one big tradition- every year, after the magazine’s double issue is produced, she has a sleepover with a few girls from work and they get utterly wasted and celebrate another job well done while eating copious amounts of chocolate and watching movies with full frontal nudity. It had been during one of those movies that she’d joked about hiring someone for some ‘special company’ and lo and behold, once all her party guests had gone home, someone had actually thought she was serious. “I’m a little hungover right now, but, uh, I think there might’ve been a mistake,”
Arlo’s eyebrows furrowed gently at the woman’s first words… not entirely understanding. Kill … who? It was then that her employer’s words about the call came back to her. Whoever had ordered an escort had been giggling profusely, as if drunk. It wasn’t uncommon, people ordered ‘company’ when they were drunk all the time. For some, it was the only way they would work up the nerve. But… every once in a while. “No, there’s no mistake… your friends did this, I’m guessing,” she sighed softly, lifting a hand to run through her hair. “I get paid by the hour, so… any chance you wanna stick it to ‘em and hang out for a few?” It was a long-shot, but Charlotte was more than willing to sit on a couch for a few hours if it meant she could get paid for it.

Have I told you how much I miss you?
No?
THEN I MISS YOU A LOT!

Charlie stepped into the door frame of Josie’s room with a soft smile. Leaning against the wall. “Well, which one would make me the cutest possible? I need lots of flirting if I’m ever going to get over that shitty ex,” She sighed, stepping closer to the pacing girl. “Calm down. I promise I’ll to not embarrass you. Well, I’ll try my hardest,” She grinned. Her fingers folded together and apart along her towel clad stomach in an effort to release the nerves bubbling through her veins. Her teeth teetered on the edge of her lip as her eyes rocked back and forth across the dresses laid along the bed. “Am I going to look okay in any of these? I mean… lace? Sparkle?”
His ears burned an almost neon red as as he sped down the road. His fingers tightened along the handles, jerking around the corners an an obscene hurry. Skidding to a stop, he pushed the kickstand down with his foot and allowed the bike to lean. Grasping the helmet, he tugged it off and laid it on the leather seat of the motorcycle. Turning to face the church next to him, he let out a sigh and shuffled his fingers through his hair in nervous habit. Grasping a the tie along his chest, he straightened it before climbing the stairs. His heart thudded wildly in his chest. Finding the first guest, he cleared his throat before smiling. “Do you know where Sa-I mean the bride is?” And once pointed in the right direction, he sped off in that direction. Pulling his hand into a fist, he knocked on the door where he was sure Sam was getting ready. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead as his foot tapped in waiting.

Cleo had just started uploading her pictures of the day to her computer when she heard a knock on her door. She knew it was her friend, because no one else was around. “Come in,” she called, moving her laptop off of her lap. “You can hang out with me until the storm is over,” Cleo said, assuming that the loud thunder and strikes of lightening were why she was there.
