Watching From A Distance
It had been weeks since that fateful night when Elena had tracked her down - Made her feel vulnerable in front of her latest victim. Not only that but Elena had showed her what it was like to be near the point of death, every now and then she would think about the edge of the wooden stake scrape her heart - Something had most definitely changed. The very fact she had been following Elena around for three weeks was proof enough - It had come down to this - Katherine was standing across the street blending in with her surroundings, Elena had been grocery shopping in the store opposite her - She had been in there for what felt like forever. Finally she didn't need to wait any longer, Elena left with a brown paper bag in hand. Katherine wasn't sure what the reason for all this was, or what she hoped to achieve. All she knew is that she had watched Elena walking from point A to B. Seen her interact with Stefan and Damon (Which had flamed up an instant surge of jealousy) Seen her laugh and watched her fall asleep. Katherine had sat outside her window on most nights, just having her near was comforting enough - She wouldn't be able to sleep besides her ever again. Katherine knew that, she wasn't hers anymore.
